Tython? Edit

Should we assume this Temple is on a Canon version of Tython? Alkonium (talk) 16:06, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

We should not really assume anything, I think. Unless something is specifically stated in a canonical source, it is only speculation. --UnimportantHero (talk) 08:12, December 21, 2015 (UTC)
At this point, probably not. Darth Ravigious (talk) 04:30, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

Jedi Temple Confirmed? Edit

Are we certain that the planet was the first Jedi Temple? Nothing in the movie actually says this. --UnimportantHero (talk) 08:11, December 21, 2015 (UTC)

While it probably is you do need a credible source that says it is. Knightmare · [Talk]  17:04, December 21, 2015 (UTC)

Agreed. --UnimportantHero (talk) 06:58, December 23, 2015 (UTC)
I think it's ridiculous to assume so because why wouldn't they be able to find Luke if he's right there in the First Jedi Temple? Not to mention, Knightmare is right, the movie never said it was. —Jak Himself (talk · contributions) 18:02, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
The movie did say Luke was searching for it, implying that no one knew where it was. VadertheWhite (talk) 02:50, January 9, 2016 (UTC)

Time Built? Edit

Should the time period that the temple was built be an event that happened before Order 66? The temple is probably very old and was built during or before the Old Republic Era when the jedi were first forming. --Amazingpinecone13 (talk) 17:15, December 21, 2015 (UTC)amazingpinecone13

I agree. I tried editing it, but it said that there was a problem with the extention hook. I have no idea what that means.

In "Tarkin", it's said that the Sith Shrine on Coruscant was built 6000 years ago, and then the current temple was built atop it. The hundred year darkness canonically happened during that time, and the jedi were already established, making the original temple at least 6000 years old. Maybe you should try to edit it to "6000", because I can't for some reason. Darth Ravigious (talk) 20:29, December 21, 2015 (UTC)

Picture Edit

I noticed Brandon just removed the picture, with the justification that we do not know if it was the first jedi temple that Rey went to and found Luke. That being said, the appearances section still lists that the temple made an appearance in the film. If we aren't sure whether or not that was actually the temple, shouldn't the appearances section be changed so it says that the temple was merely mentioned? Darth Ravigious (talk) 04:33, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

  • For the record I didn't remove a picture. I removed {{Image}}, the template saying that the page needs an image. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 04:34, April 6, 2016 (UTC)
    • So, I was partly wrong. I checked the junior novelization and it says the map led to the first Jedi temple. However, we don't know which part of that island was the Jedi temple, so I'm not sure if we can add an image or not. Because it's safe to say based on that, that the the temple definitely appeared in the film. It was something we saw on Ahch-To. But which something was it? I'd wait and see before we an add an image. And before there's a suggestion to tweet at someone, I'd recommend against that too. There (quite rightly) won't be an answer to that question.- Brandon Rhea(talk) 04:39, April 6, 2016 (UTC)
      • For the sake of being obnoxious, it could have been on the OTHER side of the island xD Darth Ravigious (talk) 04:46, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

How do we know...?Edit

It might not be on Ahch-To. NoahR9 (talk) 10:42, April 15, 2016 (UTC)

  • The movie novelization makes it clear that the map recovered by Poe leads to both Luke and the first Jedi temple. --LelalMekha (talk) 10:58, April 15, 2016 (UTC)
    • According to Maz in the novel, it's "A map leading to the first Jedi temple! To Skywalker himself!" That might just be her conjecture, as we don't hear anything of the conversation prior to that line; later Admiral Statura says "the Empire would have been looking for the first Jedi temples" plural, and nothing else is noted about the map, other than it leads to Luke - TLM86 17:22, July 8, 2016 (UTC)
