The name and description remind of Miyamoto Musashi's techniques and styles- does anyone know whether this is the true inspiration? --Maru (talk) Contribs 08:47, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- It seems that the writer meant to refer to Musashi's "Continuous Cut". The "Flowing Water Cut" taught a swordsman to use slow attacks when facing an equal opponent (because fast attacks will yield a stalemate). --SparqMan 09:05, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
落花流水 means "total defeat", however the literal translation is "falling flower flowing water", not "falling leaf". --石油頂鋒化 21:29, 2 July 2010 (BST)
