Knights of the Old Republic??
Edit
Does Force Cloak really appear in KotOR?? I have played it a lot of times and I have never seen someone using this Force power. Can someone please upload an image of a character using this power?? (It doesn't matter that the image doesn't be from KotOR). Axel Shan
- In KOTOR, Juhani had the ability to use the Force to go invisible just like Force Cloak. Though, in KOTOR it's called "Force Camouflage". Force Camouflage can also be learned by Jedi Watchmen and Sith Assasins in KOTOR 2 (according to the strategy guide). Force Camouflage seems to be exactly the same as Force Cloak (two different names for the same power). 151.203.184.48 20:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Core Power?
Edit
Force Cloak is listed as a Core Force Power. Since it seems to be the same as Force Concealment, and they both apparently were rare powers, and undeniably very potent, should it not be listed as a Light or at the very least Universal Power?DarthMRN 13:31, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Some Edits
Edit
I removed the information stating that it was vulnerable to differences in the spectrum, since I can't find any sort of source that confirms that standpoint, as the Wizards of the Coast article implies that it works regardless of how you see (though that brings up a question: How the heck does the guy using the cloak see?).--LightWarden 03:34, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
I, Jedi
Edit
It's been some time since I read the book, but I'm almost positive that Corran horn learns this technique to hide in a cabinet from some stormtroopters. Can anyone verify this?Darth Ceratis 04:29, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Predator inspiration?
Edit
Do you think it's worth a mention that this Force skill is practically the same as the Predator's cloaking ability? The way their users can be seen are the same and they only uncloak when they attack. - TopAce 20:55, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Not really. It's all pretty typical of cloaks in general.Darth Ceratis 06:50, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Return of the Jedi?
Edit
- Doesn't Luke use this ability in ROTJ during the middle of his duel with Vader, when he's hiding from Vader under the stairs?
- That actually makes sense to me, since Vader's helmet has night vision. -70.105.71.53 21:50, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Game mechanic
Edit
The visual effect for force cloak in the KOTOR games is the one for camouflage fields. I would think that perhaps one form of force cloak is about the minds of the opponents; and if using the other method, the visual effect is JUST a game mechanic, so either way, the image and speculation don't belong.
Move to Force camouflage?
Edit
Force camouflage is the name used in Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force and KotOR (II). I've heard Force cloak before too, but I'm not sure where. I think TEGTTF is one of the most reliable sources we have, so if someone can provide another source or appearance in which the name Force cloak has been used, please do. Otherwise, I might move this to Force camouflage. Cyfiero 03:13, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Luke Skywalker
Edit
According to the 1998 Star Wars Encyclopedia, Luke Skywalker "achieves the ability to cloak objects" in 15 ABY, though this goes unmentioned on both this page and Luke Skywalker's page. Does anyone have another source for this? Even if there is no other source, doesn't its mention in SWE make it canon? Axinal Convocation Chamber 03:25, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
Clone Wars Gambit
Edit
In Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth and Clone Wars Gambit: Siege, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi use an ability called 'Vanishing' that is described as a very basic Force skill, one that Anakin has an affinity for due to his slave upbringing, and that works like a Force Cloak--it has to be that because they use it fool droids as well as people.
