Should Battle Melds be Illegal?
Edit
- If you've read the Dark Nest books you know how much trouble battle melds can cause. Because the Myrkr Strike Team had used one for so long they were all permanently connected to each other. This made it very simple for Raynar (Unu) Thul to call them to him and use them for his own purposes. Another example of permanent affects of battle melds are Luke and Mara's close relationship. No one was more pleased than me when they got married but would they have gotten married if they hadn't used a battle meld so much on Nirauan? Is it really love or is it the affects of the meld? Remember they were "just friends" for years and Luke hooked up with Callista and Mara with Lando (even though she denies it) after they had known each other for quite awhile. They didn't really get romantic before over use of battle melds. The more recent developement in this area is the Jaina/Zekk connection where using battle melds combined with Killik joining has made them mind mates. Which is really spooky. And let's not forget the most famous user of battle melds, the insane Jorus C'baoth. It would not surprise me to learn that his overuse of battle melds is what drove him insane. Maybe it would be better in the long run for the Jedi Order to ban the use of battle melds.
Barriss Offee
Edit
Was Barriss Offee skilled in Force Meld? The Attack of the Clones Visual Dictionary says she specialized in "tandem fighting" where she used the force to "harmonize her actions perfectly with her partner". Plus I think the MedStar books also mention this abiltiy. So does that mean that Barriss was a user of Force Meld? 141.154.179.254 18:42, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Given the strong similarity betwen Barriss' "tandem fighting" and Force Meld, I'm going to add her to the list (by the way, I'm the one who made the original post above, my IP is dynamic so it tends to change alot)... 70.17.138.231 06:06, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Revan
Edit
Isn't this pure fanon ? So far as the Jedi vs. Sith guide is concerned, they followed Malak and Revan because they were heroes of the Mandalorian War, and nothing else. Vryce 03:17, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Great Sith War

Would the the technique of melding power and acting as one used by the Jedi during the war with Exar Cun count as Force/Battlemeld Jedigeneral 19:17, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
