A picture about the 'angry' Palpatine would come in handy. - TopAce 10:52, 17 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Examples
Edit
What I would like to know is whether it is documented that this specific force technique is used in the examples. The only example that I know for sure is documented is that relating to the two Jedi Knight games, because it is a speficic Force ability that both player and opponents can use KEJ 10:58, 17 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- You only have to look at the expression on their faces in each case - TopAce 11:05, 17 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- but is Force Rage a game mechanic or is it a documented actual "power," would a Jedi say something like "Anakin used force rage on that dude." --Falmarin 04:14, 22 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- there is an unlimited number of stupid LucasArts things which were later considered canon. Force Rage may not be such, so I think it could be considered canon without any barriers. I haven't seen "Force Rage" mentioned anywhere in the books, but we all know that rage makes a Dark Side user more powerful. - TopAce 16:15, 23 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Did Anakin use this against Dooku in episode 3? That would make sense since he beat but for the majority of the duel Dooku was topssing Anakin around. Also, it's been confirmed he was stronger than episode 3 Obi-Wan, yet it took him longer to defeat one Magnaguard than it did for Obi-Wan to take out one magnaguard while fending off another, which would be the user becoming greatly weakened for a while after the rage subsided.
- Er, isn't this just another way of saying "they were really angry at this point". The only example from the films that could possibly be classed as Force Rage is Vader's outburst in RotS - the others are just basically examples of dark side use, not necessarily a specific power - Kwenn 23:13, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- It's a general (and bad) attitude that people want to consider every single, stupid LucasArts invention canon and displayed in the movies. Force Rage, as a power is not mentioned in the Episode III novel, but it is described that Anakin WAS full of anger, hatred and fear after Obi-Wan was knocked to the floor. - TopAce 10:55, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I don't like the way this article describes many of the instances as if the person actually intended to use 'Force Rage'. Far more often its just a result of getting angry, not any specific, intentional, 'casting' of the power. --Fade 21:49, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, but lower-end C-canon is still C-canon. While there is nothing to do about this being seen as a Force "spell", the list of occurrences should have a note at the top about the examples being possible occurrences of Force rage.
Alternate use
Edit
I don't like the part about Vader using Force Rage to heal himself. Sounds like pure conjecture. Healing has nothing to do with the known effects of Rage, and the attempted connection is thinner than thin soup. If there is any article where such an alternate use would have a place, it is the Force Healing article. DarthMRN 21:58, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
in Shadows of the Empire, Vader used it to heal himself though it was only temporary --Jaguartalon 08:22, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Malachor teachings
Edit
Where do you learn Force rage at on Malachor V? I have played KotOR 2 multiple times, and never "randomly learned Force rage shortly before entering the Academy" Someone enlighten me.LastJedi1515 00:47, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- If I remember correctly, you actually learn this power on Dantooine after the big reveal, but only if you choose the Sith Marauder prestige class. Darth Adonis 02:56, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
