Jar'Kai?Edit

Should we add that he is a practitioner of Jar'Kai?

Good man whoever added that Garadex 18:41, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Last name? Edit

Hey, I'm just curious as to what the source is for his last name seeing as how it's not mentioned in the webcomic. Ruthless Xero 05:03, 4 July 2009 (UTC) \

  • Nevermind, after digging around I found it. Ruthless Xero 05:13, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Could you at least show a link showing where you got the information from. I am not saying that it is wrong I just want to know how you found out his last name is GallGaradex 10:21, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
      • Wouldn't it have been easier for you to say that at the start?

Mirialan? Edit

But his skin isn't green? 24.197.122.14 23:13, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Rusty Venture

Some Mirialan's have a yellowish complexions and the markings on his face seem to support that he is oneGaradex 10:25, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

  • They don't JUST support it, they confirm it.Cjh37 06:35, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Actually, they don't look much like Mirialan tattoos at all. Bear in mind that they're not the only people who tattoo their faces. Not to mention that most/all of the other Mirialans we've seen thus far (as far as I'm aware, at least) have dark hair. Point is, the markings don't confirm anything at all. Name... Edit

Sory, I'm new to this, but reading the web comic his name appears to be Fortris not Fortis

http://www.swtor.com/news/article/20090703_001

Thanks

You are correct. I noticed this too. I moved the page because I couldn't find a source for "Fortis," but I've found multiple instances of "Fortris" in the comic and news articles. Apparently the "Fortress Galle" is a luxury resort in Sri Lanka. It probably inspired his name. --Cobblepot 00:35, September 19, 2009 (UTC)
  • Are you blind? Issue 10 page 1 and Issue 11 page 3 he is clearly named "Fortis". The ONLY place he is called Fortris is in one of the intro summaries at SWTOR.com. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:50, September 19, 2009 (UTC)
    • We go by what the actual comic says, not the summary. The page has been moved back to it's correct name. Do not move it again. Thank you. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:54, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

I don't care if it's named wrong, but you might want to check the dialogue in Act 2, Issues 1 and 6. He is called "Fortris" several times there. I haven't found an instance of "Fortis."

Act 2, Issue 1, Page 1: "The Republic needs this treaty, Fortris."
Issue 6, Page 1: "We missed the deadline waiting for Fortris to free some of our captured soldiers."
Issue 6, Page 2: "Fortris. We need to talk."
Issue 6, Page 3: "You ready to go, Fortris?"
--Cobblepot 01:27, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

By the way, I'm not going to move it again, but I don't appreciate you telling me not to move it. Instead, I'll wait until you admit you're wrong and move it yourself. And if you check the article History, you would see that in my reasons for moving it I named the issues and pages inside the comic, and not just articles, that says "Fortris." --Cobblepot 01:32, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

I am looking at the pages right now on my hard drive:

  • Act 2, Issue 10, Page 1: "The Republic needs this treaty, Fortis."
  • Act 2, Issue 11, Page 3: "A potentially disastrous situation involving Fortis Gall has developed on Balmorra."

Then the contradiction happens below as you stated.

  • Act 2, Issue 15, Page 1: "We missed the deadline waiting for Fortris to free some of our captured *soldiers."
  • Act 2, Issue 15, Page 2: "Fortris. We need to talk."
  • Act 2, Issue 15, Page 3: "You ready to go, Fortris?"
    • Therefore, until the contradiction is straightened out officially by LucasArts or BioWare clarify, it can stay just as it is. You should have discussed it here before moving it like you did. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:45, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Damn it, LucasArts! I see they've now gone and changed the first two issues of Act to change his name. I'll go ahead and ask an admin to re-delete Fortris Gall to re-move the article. Pisses me off that I'm looking at the original version when it first came out and it CLEARLY names him "Fortis". - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:48, September 19, 2009 (UTC)
