Quick Question Edit

So, how is it possible for Captain Pellaeon to have promoted Covell to Major General? The reason I am asking is because an Army Major General would outrank a Navy Captain. Generals of any sort are General Officers (hence the title), which is the Army equivalent of a Navy's Flag Officers, or Admirals. And it seems unlikely that the Empire would let someone promote an individual to a higher rank than the promoter himself holds. Now I know the Imperial Military is bound to be different that the US military, but just as an example, a US Navy Captain holds the pay grade of O-6, which is the equivalent of an Army Colonel. A Major General, on the other hand, is an O-8, two full ranks above a Navy Captain. Anyways, I was just wondering. SpartHawg948 06:49, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
