Talk:G8-R3

Is it just me or does he look like an R5 unit-BobafettH23
- The droid has the head of an R5 unit and the body of an R2 unit according to CUSWE. In my opinion I don't like the name G8-R3, I think they should offically name it R5-A7 or R5 whatever. ArcTrooper1138 02:32, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well maybe the G8-R3 is a G8 repair droid in an astromech shell. Gonk123 00:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with the G8 repair droid, so I would not know at this moment. ArcTrooper1138 02:49, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well there are G2s, G3s, so there must be a G8. Gonk123 22:10, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- The G2 repair droid or "goose droid as i think they call it is a totally different design. If they did have a G8 repair droid, i would think it would follow the same design. A "goose droid" in an astromech shell is a little strange. In my opinion its not a G repair droid at all and is a cobbled together astromech using different astromech parts as the source states. He must be a G8 droid because it says that he was unique because he was a different droid in an astromech shell. Or, he could be an R3 (G8-R3) and for some reason is name is backwards. I don't know, what do you think? Pilot

Vaapad Legzan 18:22, 30 July 2007 (UTC)No, R3s look like R2s except they have a clear dome.
