Images
Edit
In my opinion, we need pictures better than those on the official Republic Commando website. Gwai Lo 03:06, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Just more, don't delete those, they're awsome! And we need a better main image.--1upD 00:19, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
ROTS Geonosian Aide
Edit
Does he have a name yet?--Rune Haako 22:34, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I've kinda assumed it was Gizor Delso...and I just ignore the fact that he got sliced in half. .... 01:52, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Infobox Picture
Edit
I don't think the current pic is very good for this article. It's about Geonosians in general, not about Poggle, who actually looks pretty different from the average geonosian. Therefore, I think that pic should be replaced with one of a standard geonosian.
Like this better?--1upD 00:37, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Really, we should only have one Geonosian in the main picture. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

KOTOR II Weapon
Edit
In KOTOR II, there is a Geonosian electrostaff. Does this count as a mention?--Ranat 23 00:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- No. That's like counting "Gungan weaponry" as a Gungan appearance. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
01:02, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- But it mentions the Geonosians themselves in the item discription. I think it does count.Darth Ceratis 01:51, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- It only counts as a mention, not an actual appearance. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Infobox pic
Edit
Couldn't we just use the image of Sun Fac? He is a normal Geonosian.--Darth Oblivion 00:00, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- I suppose either one could work, really. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Republic Commando
Edit
- Would anyone happen to know why the Geonosians are so very different in Republic commando than they are everywhere else? They are multicolored, have very different faces, don't use sonic weapons, and in the case of the elites they have extra limbs.Darth Ceratis 01:13, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Game mechanics, probably. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
12:22, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Note the battle droids are different also. Probably to put them more in line with the darker tone of the game - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 12:24, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

- True. Come to think about it, there's a lot of stuff in that game that doesn't look quite right. Like the fat, black-eyed Trandoshans and the ten-foot WookieesDarth Ceratis 14:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- There's an interview on the game disc where some guy talks about this. They were being artistic or something.--Lord OblivionSith holocron

- Sorry to start this up again, but I just watched the interview in the game, and it does mention that the designers made it different on purpose to show a grittier side of the Clone Wars, but that's really all it said. I would think that the movie depiction of the Geonosians, with the drab brown coloration and such, would have been grittier than the colorful, almost baboon-like coloration they gave them in the game.Darth Ceratis 20:06, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Opinions, opinions. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
21:22, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- No, it's the facts of it. The battle droids look grimier and less organic, the trandoshans look brutish and soulless, the Wookiees are turned into enormous mounds of muscle, the landscapes are dark and forboding, that all matches up with their claims to have a grittier feel. But the Geonosians, who in the movies are presented already as mindless and grungy, are in the game made bright and colorful. It just doesn't fit to me.Darth Ceratis 03:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- But that's your opinion, which is exactly what I was talking about before. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
12:22, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's the opinion of a Graphic Design major.Darth Ceratis 16:51, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- But still only an opinion, which we can't use here - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 16:55, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- I never said we should use it. All I'm doing is wondering, and I'd like to know if there was a particular reason they did it that way. I'm not saying my opinion is something we should put up in the article, I'm simply voicing my opinion in hopes of gaining understanding, and that is what should go in the article. I'm basically just wondering what made the game designers do the Geonosians the way they did them.Darth Ceratis 18:07, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- Such understanding really shouldn't even go in the article. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Perhaps, but even then I don't think it would be good. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
20:53, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, You're probably right, I guess. Design is my thing, so I'm probably the only guy on wookieepedia who cares at all. But I kinda feel like if the information exists, we should include it here somehow.Darth Ceratis 21:27, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

21:53, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Amendment: There's a lot of speculation we don't include in articles. We try to include as much information as possible. And really, this discussion is purely the former - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 21:59, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- True. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
22:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Like I said, the only reason I'm speculating is because I think there's information out there that isn't covered here. I don't think my speculations belong in the article, but I think if they lead to information then the information should be included.Darth Ceratis 05:37, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- It depends on what the information is, and if it's necessary. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
12:25, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- I guess it isn't really necessary, I'm just curious as to what it is. Also, it struck me just now that in one of the game trailers and some of the promotional art, the Geonosians are in fact movie accurate.Darth Ceratis 16:12, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Blame the designers. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
22:16, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Example names
Edit
Example names are not actual individuals, but Geonosian-sounding names given in the UAA to help GMs name Geonosian characters & NPCs. Included in the article to avoid having useless extraneous articles "X was a Geonosian," "Y was a Geonosian," clogging up 'pedia. Enochf 15:24, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- And the point of having a list of them on this article is... ? —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
19:13, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- To assure the poor dopes that the information is already contained in the 'pedia and they need not clutter up the place with "Jojo was a Muun" articles. Although, to be fair, it might look a little better in the infobox. Enochf 23:28, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Go on. I'd like to here more about that possibility. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

A Geonosian fact
Edit
In Republic Commando, it shows that Geonosians have yellow blood. What makes their blood this color?--SWME 14:52, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- That's never even been discussed. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
20:25, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- When we see Geonosians sliced open in AotC, they seem to be pea green and homogenous on the inside. Although the fact that they were sliced with lightsabers--which may have cauterized as they cut--means that the "true" innards of a Geonosian aren't actually revealed.137.111.13.37 04:55, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Is there any point in continuing this discussion? —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Lifespan
Edit
how long do geonosians live? —Unsigned comment by 72.150.128.90 (talk • contribs).
- That's never been said. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
19:06, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, we know they live at least twelve years, as Poggle the Lesser was Archduke for that long. It's not much, but its something, at least. However, I still don't think its enough evidence to put on the page.--Bonslywizard 20:54, January 30, 2010 (UTC)
Geonosian Note
Edit
Anyone who is a Geonosian lover(if your favorite creature is the Geonosian) pease tell me because I just want to know. They are my favorite. I drew one too but I don't want to give it away. The geonosian in my pic is next to an Orray. It looks so realistic. I'm so proud of myself.--GeonosiansRocktheCatacomes 20:35, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

wingless pilots
Edit
The Hasbro Geonosian Starfighter comes with a pilot action figure which has no wingsJustinGann 20:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Eyes
Edit
I just noticed, is there really no source that officially confirms the eye color of Geonosians? As of now, we can merely speculate that it is red based off of many images. --Darth shohet 03:10, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Could Geonosians be force sensitive?
Edit
I was wondering, could Geonosians be force sensitive? I don't believe that there is a source to say they can't be, but don't quote me on that. A Geonosian jedi, for instance, could be very cool. Not that I'm going to add that to the article, I'm just wondering...—Unsigned comment by 86.139.47.145 (talk • contribs).
