Mauserisms[]

Just two notes here: First, the information from The Nightsister's Revenge is enough to classify it as a mutated normal wampa, just like the giant scorpion from Super Star Wars is well, a scorpion. Second, Giant Wampa Creature maybe a longer name, but that does not make it more correct. Remember how normal wampas are often referred to as "Wampa Ice Creature" - this is just an extended description, having the "creature" part in name is really redundant. • To respond:
    • First, the information from The Nightsister's Revenge is enough to classify it as a mutated normal wampa, just like the giant scorpion from Super Star Wars is well, a scorpion. Precisely. Nothing ever suggests either of these "giant" wampas are somehow different species or subspecies. That's the fanon creation of whoever created this article to begin with, and you and JMAS have run with it. Unkajo is a normal wampa enlarged through genetic engineering. Nothing suggests this boss from the game is linked to Kyrisa's genetic engineering in any way. That would also be considered fanon.
    • Remember how normal wampas are often referred to as "Wampa Ice Creature" - this is just an extended description, having the "creature" part in name is really redundant. Everything within Super Empire Strikes Back Official Game Secrets only refers to this game boss as a normal "Wampa Ice Creature," and in one instance the boss is referred to as the "Giant Wampa Creature." If you have a canon name that is more accurate and/or official than this, we can move it to that title. Toprawa and Ralltiir 07:27, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
    • Actually now that I see that you're changing the article to describe the individual wampa, it might be perfectly fitting name that will indicate that the articles is not describing the non-existing subspecies. And no, I did not run with the fanon "giant wampa" name, I was intending to merge it into the main wampa article ever since I had the TNR info. Anyway, have fun =) MauserComlink 07:34, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

Question[]

Is it possible that this giant wampa is actually Unkajo? Dark Ridley 15:32, June 16, 2010 (UTC)

  • Allow me to repeat what you obviously didn't read in the preceding section: "Nothing suggests this boss from the game is linked to Kyrisa's genetic engineering in any way. That would also be considered fanon." Is it possible? Anything is possible. Is it verifiable canon? Absolutely not. Toprawa and Ralltiir 15:58, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
    • Well you don't have to be so rude, but I was noting the fact that we have one "giant" wampa on hoth in one game, and another "giant" wampa in another with less than a year separating the two games in-universe. Unless there was more than one giant wampa created on Hoth, the connection could be mentioned. Dark Ridley 16:30, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
      • A BTS explanation of this "connection" may be acceptable, if done properly. But trying to assert any kind of canonical connection between these two characters in the biography is what we here on Wookieepedia refer to as Original Research. Toprawa and Ralltiir 16:34, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
