    • See spectacles. Three instances (including this one) of glasses in the univers, I think, justify the existence of this article (and the spectacle one). Page move? Edit

Aren't they known as glareshades IU? Diblen Harleys entry in the Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook mentions that he wears "glareshades", and I always assumed it was the SW term for sunglasses. - Cavalier One^{(Squadron channel)} 08:24, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

• We went through this some time ago, and I think the result was no consensus. Personally, I think a move to Glareshades is the way to go if that's the IU term. I don't think a move to Spectacles is the way to go, since the function of sunglasses is rather different from that of spectacles. KEJ 08:47, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Are they ever refered to as sunglasses IU? I can't recall ever reading the term. If not, then as KEJ suggests, the page should be moved to Glareshades since it is a canonical term.
