What is the source supporting the idea that glitterstim is non-addictive? Melda 03:00, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- I would not know, ask this dude 71.228.112.176 for adding it. -- Riffsyphon1024 03:02, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I have no idea what that crap about non-addictive glitterstim is all about. There's a line in the Guide to Planets and Moons that says glitterstim "can quickly turn a casual user into a hollow addict."
I fixed that thing about glitterstim being non-addictive - I thought it was pretty obvious that the stuff was like the heroin of the Star Wars universe.
- While it always seemed like the stipulations on it were similar to those on harder drugs like heroin and cocaine, the fact that characters were able to function normally while taking it (Bria, for example. Or Greglik in Planet of Twilight) implies that in actuality, its effects are more like a "soft" drug like marijuana. Not identical, mind, but characters seem to regard it more along those lines. I think sweetblossom is supposed to be more like heroin (or perhaps morphine). Addictive like heroin , quite possibly. But heroin-like in its effects? I've yet to see anything supporting that.
I'd say glitterstim is deffinatly a hard drug, in it's addictiveness and damage done to the user. It's effects seem to be like cocaine with a strong psychedellic edge.24.68.102.1 20:09, March 23, 2011 (UTC)
Boba Fett's Tale in Tales of the Bounty Hunters claims that glitterstim is not addictive. However, I'm pretty sure all other sources I've seen say that it is. 66.74.223.154 06:06, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
How much
Edit
How much is it? What cost the kg?
- In the Saga Edition Rulebook it says a kilo costs 20,000 credits. Ked Ki 16:09, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
When was glitterstim mentioned in A New Hope?Obiwan3000 16:25, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- It isn't. There's mention of Luke's father working on a spice freighter, but no mention of glitterstim by name. Gogoicarus 12:07, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh. Thanks.Obiwan3000 23:10, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
what form?
Edit
in what form is glitterstim used? Is it (or can it be) smoked, like death sticks?
In the books the characters seem to just expose it to light and eat it, though I wonder if the crystals could be crushed and snorted like coke.24.68.102.1 20:14, March 23, 2011 (UTC)
