E.T. Info Link[]

I don't know why you keep removing it, but at least give me a valid reason. My reason for putting it up has already been stated, but I'll say it again. I think the E.T./Star Wars thing is VERY interesting; if I was a non-Wookiepedian casually looking through the site, and I read the little thing I put in the Gossam's "Trivia" entry, I would certainly want to know more about it. A link to more information on the very interesting topic would provide this. So, unless you want to add the whole E.T./Star Wars thing to the Gossam's "Trivia," I think a link to more information on a topic that is barely skimmed upon in the Gossam's "Trivia" is definately in order. --Promus Kaa 04:52, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Oh, NOW someone tells me, lol!! I didn't see that... --Promus Kaa 03:33, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Maybe it should be changed to Behind the scenes. Trivia sections here usually have the same in-universe perspective as the rest of the article. — Aiddat (Holonet) (Contribs Log) NR Seal 12:42, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Good catch!! :D --Promus Kaa 04:48, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Information not regarding Gossams that is in the article.[]

"Just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Shu Mai secretly pledged her support the Confederacy of Independent Systems, despite realizing that it would amount to treason. Her reasons were simple—she couldn't resist a potentially profitable venture. The Commerce Guild pledged their mass amount of DSD1 dwarf spider droids, as well as the Gossam Commandos."
―The article

I'm aware it was said on IRC that this information was fine for the article, but I wish to know why. My reasons on not including it are simple: It has nothing to do with the Gossam species, only the Commerce Guild and Shu Mai. Now, if those who think this should be included in the article (other than AdmirableAckbar, who discussed this with me on my talk page) could please explain why this is so important to this article, I would appreciate it. —Grand Admiral J. • A prominent Gossam pledged her support to one side of a war and took a prominent role in it, bringing along entire units of Gossams to fight. It would be rather silly to leave high-profile Gossam participation in a major galactic war, on a species-wide scale or not, out of an article, wouldn't it? Havac 02:02, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Has it ever been said that the entire Gossam species participated in the Clone Wars on the side of the CIS, though? And as for Shu Mai, information regarding her should be in her article, not the article on her species. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 02:07, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
      • [22:04] <Darth_Culator> The Gossams are basically the property of the Commerce Guild, which owned Castell. Shu Mai sold them out. This, to me, seems relevant to the article.
      • This was the explanation given on IRC. It seems to jive, however, the paragraph does not reflect this. It should get an expansion, though, instead of just blanking it. Jorrel Wiki-shrinkable Fraajic 02:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
  • I've added the expansion suggested, which should end the confusion. Thanks, AckbarSig TheOne&OnlyAdmirableAckbar (It's A Trap!) 21:58, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Gossams in Darksaber?[]

Is there an actual appearance by a Gossam in Darksaber? Or just the term "gossamer"?

--Barriss Coffee (talk) 11:25, July 9, 2013 (UTC)

  • You would be correct. The term gossamer was used to describe 1. an insect's wings and 2. the material of a solar sail. As such, it has been removed. Trip391 (talk) 18:17, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
