Toned down direct equasion of Grand General and Grand Admiral, which is AFAIK remains fanon. Semantic similarity is not proof: for instance, a real-world Air Marshall is two grades below a real-world Field Marshall (whereas, just to confuse you, an Imperial Air Marshall seems to be a Field Marshall analog).

Also, I think the rank insignia may be OOU. The only image of Brashin is Force Commander - while there may be questions about the rank-badge shown here (see the bottom of this page at SWTC) I'm not sure whether we can use that to dismiss the khaki uniform. Looking at the rank of High General as an equivalent to a Fleet Admiral and not a High Admiral may give a clue as to where Grand General sits. Perhaps it is an alternative title for Field Marshal which is the equivalent to a High Admiral?
