[edit] Tapani
Does anyone know what Tapani house Grand Admiral Grant was from User:volemlock 29 Jan 2006
- He was a high palced Imperial, so my guess would be either Mecetti or Malantha. And what is this Tapan planet? Was that some misinterpreting Tapani for being an actual planet? -- SFH 18:10, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- I thought the same. I have never heard of a planet Tapan. It certainly is not a Tapani Sector planet that I am aware of! -- volemlock.
[edit] Meritocracy
Is there any source on Grant's dislike of meritocracy and Thrawn in particular? Extrapolating this from "that usurping alien" in the Insider article seems a bit much. --GrandAdmiralJello 05:08, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lookalike?
I must be seeing things, but I swear I thought this Grant looked like this Grant. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:11, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Indubitably! - User:Graestan/sig 05:13, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- If not, its obvious that this one is asian. Joe Corroney drew that image and has done these types of things before. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- While Grant is definitely Asian, I don't see a whole bunch of semblance between him and Imahara - Imahara's chin looks little like Grant's, their ears are quite different, Grant's brow is more sunken than Imahara's, and Grant's nose seems to be flatter and more spatulate. When you compare Kai Justiss to Justin Chung, you can see that Corroney follows his models pretty closely; if Grant were based on Imahara, I would expect him to look a lot more like Imahara than he does. jSarek 06:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name Origin
There is a possibility Grant got his name from Grant Imahara, an ILM modeler and the man who controlled R2-D2's movements in all of the prequels. The only image of grant is from Star Wars Insider 66, published March/April 2003, 4 years after TPM was released and barely even 1 after AOTC. I know the only resemblence bertween the two is their asian features, black hair, and gender. However, they are not strikingly different. --Darth shohet 17:37, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- This is discussed in the topic above this one. It's not unlikely, but we don't know, and it's not a cert looking at the pictures. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 17:56, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
