There were major typos. I fixed some of them, but what's the "DarkStryder's Peion's." Michaeldsuarez 21:42, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

11,500 BBY figure Edit

The book Endgame, from which all of this information derives, provides no basis for the 11,500 BBY figure. It simply indicates that Halbret has been in stasis for "millennia." Neither is there any given date for when the Dark Jedi attacked Kathol, when the Rift Disaster occurred, or when the Precursors went into the Lifewell. Again, it refers to general terms, either "millennia" or "centuries". -11/30/07 JB

  • You are correct, JB. Apparently someone -- believing themselves to be rather clever -- has made a subsequent revision altering what use to be the unsupported "11,500 BBY" to the still unsupported "the Pius Dea Era." (The Pius Dea Era covers 12,000 BBY to 11,000 BBY). The original error noted by JB is now somewhat obfuscated a bit by removal of the incorrect 11,500 BBY date and replacement with an era name, but it is still no less wrong now. 99.121.14.184 03:08, July 2, 2011 (UTC)Mr. Twelve

Halbret male or female? Edit

  • Star Wars Gamemaster Handbook, Second Edition gives Halbret as a Dark Jedi who destroyed the Cthol and stole the Codex. He was later destroyed by Jedi Knights (Page77). --Eyrezer 10:32, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
    • I was reading through this book and noticed the contradiction with this article. The accompanying picture in the Gamemaster Handbook clearly shows he is male. The book only gives him as background for the Codex as an example of a gamemaster created artifact. What details would be considered canon? Rexas 07:48, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
      • The sourcebook Endgame, part of The DarkStryder Campaign, actually features Halbret. She is female, and has been in stasis for thousands of years. She is released by the crew of the FarStar and assists them in their battle against the DarkStryder. She is killed during the engagement, and the Gamesmaster has latitude over how she dies, as long as it is a heroic or dramatically appropriate death. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 08:00, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
        • Perhaps we should treat them as two separate individuals then... --Eyrezer 10:29, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
          • Possibly, but there could be a way around it. The Gamesmaster Handbook was written in 1993, and Endgame was published several years later, so shouldn't the more recent source take precedence? Also, in Endgame, it is mentioned that the legend surrounding Halbret and the destruction of the C'thol (who are the Kathol (species)) is that - a legend - and that the facts are lost in time. Only the re-emergence of Halbret on Kathol reveals the story. I'm currently moving through the DarkStryder books and adding the info, and will try to see if there's any other information on Halbret to offer. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 19:21, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Appearances: SWAJ2 &BSoSEdit

This appears to be a simple/clear error. The character Elias HALBERT appears in P-Jack's Out of the Cradle. Mr. Halbert is not the same person as Ms. Halbret. She does not appear elsewhere in that issue.

Likewise, it is Mr. HalbERT who makes the appearance in (again) Ms. Jackson's Black Sands of Socorro, and not the Jedi woman Halbret.

Suspended Animation Out of Thanks?!? Edit

As has been said previously under the other topics, Halbret's information is derived from Endgame. The statement: "The Kathol preserved her life and put her in suspended animation out of thanks," has absolutely no basis in fact as compared to Pgs. 104-105 of Engame, Halbret's character entry.

In short, Halbret -- herself -- grabbed an (unactivated) stasis pod, presumably just to protect her body. Her plan was to just do a routine Jedi trance within the unactivated pod while the disaster blew over and the Char Ontee could get the planet straight. She would then free the Kathol from their own protective security blanket and all would be well.

DarkStryder, however, had other plans.

The preservation of Halbret's life during the disaster's immediate impact was not the result of anything the Kathol did or didn't do. Rather, she protected herself in the pod and they were at her mercy. And the preservation of her life in suspended animation for so long a duration was unrelated to either the Kathol's actions or Halbret's actions -- it was the result of DarkStryder's actions, which certainly were not done as thanks.
