Top grossing actors without references? Edit

The list in this article--Ford, Hanks and Murphy--is wrong without significant qualifiers. Christopher Lee was not only in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, he was also in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Those two series along dwarf anything Hanks and Murphy have done. Ford at least has the Indiana Jones franchise, but that doesn't come close to the total brought in by Lord of the Rings, and add in all the other films Lee has made since his first appearance in 1948 and I believe Lee is easily the top grossing actor of all time.

Where are the references backing up the claims on Hanks, Murphy and Ford as the top grossing actors of all time?
