Mechanics

Where is the reference found where it is stated that Holoprojectors scan their subject with lasers to assemble a hologram? It has always seemed to me that holoprojectors would use something more like hyperwave interferometry. The hyperwaves would pass through the subject and surroundings while the Holo unit could use intereferometric techniques to assess and assemble a virtual Holo in real-time of the subject by the interference patterns of the hyperwaves.

Realistically lasers probably wouldn't work, but a wave that penetrates harmlessly through the matter could easily image something in 3 dimensions.
In either case, if there is a canon reference to Holoprojectors using lasers to image then I'll drop it... DarthSideoftheMoon 19:16, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
