Talk:Hyperspace cannon
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
It might be just me, but I think these devices have the potential to be more than just historical curiosities. Even in the modern era, they could have a dramatic effect on the Galaxy in the form of weapons platforms. For example, fitting baradium missiles with drag elements (by now much smaller, and therefore more easily integrated into expendable munitions) would enable a single cannon to bombard a target from halfway across the sector (or even farther, if conditions permit). Good idea, but I think hypercannon technology would be extremely had to aim accurately enough to hit a city. But, with computer-guided rockets, it's not impossible.... Maybe someone should mention this to a Star Wars author, say Timothy Zahn; I'm sure he could build a trilogy around it, or something. Maybe the little-explored Empire of the Hand could use it, led by a new clone of Thrawn. -Super Saiyan Jedi 14:51, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
