Kronos
Edit
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt the droid in the pic KRONOS? If it is shouldn't the pic be on his page as well? Just making sure before i add it.~ Dr.Kermit 21:27, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'll take that as a yes. Dr.Kermit(Babble here) 02:51, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Unless Kronos shows up someplace else, I doubt it's the same IG-86; Kronos (and all of Ziro's IG-86s in The Clone Wars movie and Hostage Crisis) have very distinctive painting on their exterior, not present in this image. —Unsigned comment by 98.244.84.226 (talk • contribs).
Futurama Reference?
Edit
Anyone else notice that this droid behaves a lot like a mute version of Clamps[1] of the Robot Mafia in Futurama? --Logan Felipe 23:07, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Source for name?
Edit
Where are these droids referred to as IG-86 assassin droids? I ask because The Clone Wars Campaign Guide refers to them specifically as IG-86 sentinel droids. Is having the word "assassin" in the name something that comes from the visual guide, or is it just an assumption based on what they do? DolukTalk 07:56, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- The official CW site on CartoonNetwork.com has them as IG-86 assassin droids. They're also called that on the episode guide. VT-16 08:06, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, CartoonNetwork.com doesn't use the term as being part of the name of the class of droid, it just uses it as a descriptive term (in the same way as battle droid is used as a descriptive term). I haven't checked the episode guide to see if it's the same, but in The Clone Wars Campaign Guide IG-86 sentinel droid is definitely used as a class name (in fact, it's repeated five times). Of course, I wouldn't be overly surprised if TCWCG got it wrong... DolukTalk 08:15, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- It says IG-86 assassin droid on the datafile for Downfall of a Droid. VT-16 08:49, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Ooh, I was about to bring this up!
- The official StarWars.com Hostage Crisis episode synopsis calls them assassin droids.
- As mentioned in this article, in TCW Downfall of a Droid, Anakin introduces the pair of IG-86 to Ahsoka as "assassin droids".
- The IG-88 page calls them assassin droids, including in the infobox. Granted though, this doesn't necessarily mean that their cousin IG-86 are necessarily assassin droids.
- A page actually exists for assassin droids. (Eh, I admit this point is a bit meaningless =P)
- If you look at the IG-series page, IG-86 is listed as assassin droids with 3D and KRONOS-327 as known members.--Secretss 08:56, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- 1 and 2 refer to a descriptive term rather than an actual class name. 3 and 5 are the evidence of the fact that these droids were originally refered as assassins droid here and not all of the pages has been updated. 4 is meaningless, right. MauserComlink 09:31, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- So, when you say "these droids were originally referred as assassins droid here and not all of the pages has been updated", I'm assuming the conclusion is "sentinel droids" for the win, "assassin droids" outdated. If I've understood you correctly I will edit the errors accordingly when I see them. Edit: Are we removing "assassin droid" from all IG-series class names? IG-88's infobox has a citation for the class name "assassin droid". So, just delete it anyway?--Secretss 12:29, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Same one as the one in the LEgo Assassin droids set?
Edit
If so, we should distinguish between the "assassin droid commanders" and the regular ones. (Black and silver, repectivele.y Where's their vehicle, by the way? A fact needs to be added that they were capable of space travel and could launch a net.--Governor Jerjerrod 20:26, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
well technically legos aren't the best cannon product. and if i remember corectly, it said that black ones were elite assassin droids not commanders--70.253.70.148 23:51, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
