Talk:IG lancer combat droid

Move
Edit
Their actual designation is IG-series battle droid (from the Official Fact Files). Should the page be moved to that name? - Kwenn 12:19, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- How about IG-series lancer droid? Because I'm pretty sure that they're called IG lancer droids in more sources. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 12:47, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, but their proper designation is IG-series battle droid. Same as IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tanks being called "Hailfire droids" in most sources. Doesn't invaildate the actual designation - Kwenn 12:48, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, here's what it probably will come down to: The number of sources where they're called "IG lancer droids" and "IG-series battle droids". Usually, but not always, whatever has more sources "wins". Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 12:51, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Even if that one source has the proper designation? Then surely IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tank should be reverted to Hailfire droid, NR-N99 Persuader-type droid enforcer should become Corporate Alliance droid etc? - Kwenn 12:54, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, screw that idea, I wasn't thinking properly. Go ahead; move the page. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 13:00, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm. Now the NEGD designates them "IG lancer combat droids". Should we use that instead? - Kwenn 16:12, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, but keep this name as an "also known as" reference. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Swoop or Speeder Bike?
Edit
OK, the stat box says that these guys used speeder bikes, but the article says swoops. Does anyone know for sure which it is? I know there's not that much difference between a swoop and a speeder bike, but nevertheless, they are different types of vehicles. Aslo, any idea what model they rode? Other type of vehicle
Edit
[1] would seem to indicate a new type of vehicle to add, different from the type we see in cartoons; compare BARC-2 speederJustinGann 11:05, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
