Why 418?
Does anyone know the significance of the 418 number in the Immobilizer's name? If so please add to the article and tell me, thanks.--501st scout (talk) 22:15, August 2, 2015 (UTC)
Star Wars: Rebels[]
I believe this is the ship from the most recent Star Wars Rebels trailer? I know it was an Interdictor-class ship, but I don't think it's the actual Interdictor.—Unsigned comment by The Ultimate Dude (talk • contribs).
A "new" ship?[]
Hopefully, we'll learn more once "Stealth Strike" is released, but how can the official description allude to "a new Imperial ship" when the Immobilizer 418 has been around since at least the time of Tarkin? In fact, aren't we just assuming that said ship is a 418? Could be a predecessor model for all we know. --LelalMekha (talk) 08:51, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
- Agreed. In the episode and in the related media (trivia gallery, etc) on the Star Wars website, the ship is only ever referred to as an "Interdictor." Identifying the ship as an Immobilizer 418 is unfounded speculation. Obi-wan Baloney (talk) 08:39, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
- This article should be split and a new article under the name Imperial Interdictor should be created. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 09:30, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
- Well, the interdictor in Stealth Strike sure looks a lot like the 418 from the Legends, and the size also roughly matches compared to a Corvette. The episode also states that at least the ship was under development when Sabine was in the academy, if not whole gravity well projector. Ovvldc (talk) 18:52, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

- It is implied in Tarkin that the ship was sent back to the drawing board after that incident. Entirely possible the ship in rebels is a redesigned version of the ship in Tarkin, though that is just speculation --Tuskin (talk) 23:15, December 3, 2015 (UTC)
Writing[]
Dear god, this page is so horribly flawed it's painful to read. Just the phrasing that it first appeared in "Tarkin" giving all of the credit to lucerno? It's articles like this that push me away from using wookiepedia, especially when a MUCH more accurate, well put-together article exists on the same ship type, but the search function brings this up first.
Can we please delete this page in favor of the already-existing, much better one here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Immobilizer_418_cruiser

- The page you linked to is the Legends version. This is the canon page. As for the way it's written, if you see room for improvement then please feel free to improve it. Be bold and change what you think is incorrect or missing info. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 19:28, December 4, 2015 (UTC)
Same as Imperial Interdictor[]
According to the Amazon preview for Star Wars: On the Front Lines, the 418 appears to be the same as the Imperial Interdictor from Rebels. The latter should probably be merged into this one. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 09:16, June 6, 2017 (UTC)
- It's highly likely (has always been), but what exactly makes you say that? I didn't really catch anything in the preview that hints at the Rebels model. --Lelal Mekha (Audience Room) 09:20, June 6, 2017 (UTC)
- It calls the Immobilizer an Imperial Interdictor, with the capitalization that is used when referring to the Rebels ship. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 09:34, June 6, 2017 (UTC)
- Would that be enough in terms of evidence? - Tommy-Macaroni (Talk) 21:12, September 30, 2017 (UTC)
- I think that it's enough. Not to mention that the Immobilizer looks almost exactly like the Imperial interdictor. We could ask one of the Story Group members on twitter.--Vitus Infinitus (talk) 23:02, September 30, 2017 (UTC)

- Actually, it looks like Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, Updated and Expanded identifies the Imperial Interdictor as an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 23:30, October 17, 2017 (UTC)
- I asked Matt on Twitter several days ago and completely forgot about it till now, and he said that the Interdictor in Rebels was never called an Immobilizer 418, but it was definitely based on the same design. I don't have the Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, Updated and Expanded unfortunately so I can't really know but if it indeed says that in there then we can update the Imperial Interdictor page into the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer and in the behind the scenes of that page we add that the design is based on another canon interdictor model, the Immobilizer 418 cruiser/Canon. - By it looks like, I really meant I have the book in my hand and it calls it the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer. I guess they're the same? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 23:57, October 17, 2017 (UTC)
- Is it like a picture of the ship and it's labelled as an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer? Cause if it's something like that then it definitely looks like it's link the two together.--Vitus Infinitus (talk) 00:06, October 18, 2017 (UTC)
- It identifies the interdictors at the Battle of Atollon as such. - AV-6R7Crew Pit
- Sounds like confirmation to me.--Vitus Infinitus (talk) 00:08, October 18, 2017 (UTC)
- Should we make the changes?--Vitus Infinitus (talk) 05:35, October 18, 2017 (UTC)
- I'm happy to do it now unless anyone has any objections. - Tommy-Macaroni (Talk) 10:51, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

- Interesting. So do we merge Interdictor-class and Immobilizer, because to me that's what it sounds like Matt's saying? - Tommy-Macaroni (Talk) 08:03, October 21, 2017 (UTC)
- Thats what I understood as well. Immobilizer into Interdictor? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 08:05, October 21, 2017 (UTC)
- That's got my vote, and I'm happy to deal with it, but perhaps we should wait and see what other Wookieepedians think before? - Tommy-Macaroni (Talk) 08:09, October 21, 2017 (UTC)
