Book Cancelled
Edit
The book has been cancelled. See http://karentraviss.typepad.com/blog/2009/12/sooty-and-a-clean-sweep.html. Maybe someone should edit the page? --Nuhrii the Metruan 13:36, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
- And now there's been talk that Rostoni's looking to finish the series with another author. Hopefully we'll be able to change the cancelled status soon.--Bella'Mia 01:18, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
Plot
Edit
- How do we know what the Plot is going to be if we don't even know who the author is anymore? I would just like to know where we found out about Darman and all that. VhettSkirata Mando'ade 19:45, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
- It's all very likely and official-sounding, but I've never heard any kind of plot release except for the rough outline Karen Traviss put on her blog. Anybody wanna stick a source on that?--Bella'Mia 02:46, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
- Done.--TallJediKnight(talk) 01:16, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

Not Cancelled
Edit
According to Sue Rostini, Imperial Commando 2 will go ahead, presumably with a different author, release date unknown. See the last post on this page: [1]. So how do we handle that, update this page or start a new one and keep this as a page for the Karen Traviss book that never was? Nick Fel 18:11, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Update this one, but talk about Karen Traviss leaving in the Behind the Scenes or something.--Darth Revanon 19:44, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
Plot Summary

Anything New
Edit
- Are there any leads on possible authors, or plot summaries, characters, anything else that we can put up yet? VhettSkirata Mando'ade 06:34, January 25, 2010 (UTC)
Why did Karen Traviss leave?
Edit
Up until the episode The Mandalore Plot I had no idea why Karen Traviss was leaving. However, now that the episode has been released, was it due to the Death Watch returning earlier than Karen Traviss intended? This may not be the place, but couldn't they have just compromised? Kal Skirata had only just returned to Mandalore, after all. Wasn't he detached from the events of Mandalorian government during the Clone Wars? The other Mandalorians on the planet new of the Death Watch prescence, but all this is new to Skirata and his merry band? Maybe I'm just mad that Karen Traviss is leaving, but is there any real reason she's quitiing?--LastJedi1515 (talk)

- She said that it was because of conflicting canon and issues with her publisher. VhettSkirata Mando'ade 23:03, February 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Wait, does that mean that everything that happened in the first Imperial Commando books are non-canon?--LastJedi1515 (talk)

- We dont know for sure yet how this all is going to work out. It is safe to asume that because they are continuing the series(suposidly) it will still be cannon.JediShifty 00:26, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
- According to details discussed in the SW Action News and the Republic Forces Radio Network podcasts, timing and other contractual issues were also major players (e.g. being asked to do books too quickly, or with creative limits). Another major bit involved certain details for the upcoming Star Wars live-action TV series, which were directly responsible for her abandoning the Untitled Boba Fett novel (it has been pretty well established that Boba Fett will be in the series, compromising a lot of her efforts). Traviss's return
Edit
http://theforce.net/latestnews/story/Karen_Traviss_Returns_To_Star_Wars_130415.asp I've just read this shocking article and I asked myself "If Karen is going to return, is she going to write IC 2?" Does any of you have any information about this?DarthFener 20:15, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Its an April Fools joke. She's not coming back.--Darth Revanon 20:43, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
Continuity Changes?
Edit
Since when has continuity changes been a problem in Star Wars? There are so many different series and branches and most of them don't relate. The universe is so big that I doubt people would notice some of the small differences. Bioniclepluslotr 23:41, June 22, 2011 (UTC)
no, people will notice. Someone will. The real question will be if people will be upset over it. If it's a small event or story within the story, I would wonder which "version" is the "in-universe truth", and which is misinterpreted by the characters in-story as "the truth".
so is there still talk of this series being finished without karen Travis? last i heard there was
I would also like to know if there are any definitive contracts or whichever to write the book. I just wanna finish this plotline, because it means a lot to me in terms of me liking to finish the whole thing. So long as it doesn't turn into a terrible book just because they want to add some sense of finality.
