Deflection
Edit
Certainly through the millennia of using lightsabers, the Jedi developed a technique for deflecting solid slugs and bolts. I don't think the BTS note is useful. --SparqMan 17:15, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- A technique? If a lightsaber cuts through anything it comes into contact with (with the exception of phrik, cortosis, and other lightsabers), then how would it not disintegrate a generic piece of metal that connects with it? Technique has nothing to do with it... slugs could be Force pushed back, sure, and the games depict this--but that doesn't have anything to do with saber deflection. -BaronGrackle 02:22, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
This seemed like the place for it, but page 135 of the Hero's Guide actually explicitly states that Jedi can deflect slugs. The thing a lightsaber CAN'T are listed as large thrown webs (IE nets), explosive/grenades, and stun attacks.
cocussion blast granades
Edit
How does it fire those blue cocussive blasts, which look like they are made of plasma(or something like it), if the weapon uses metallic ammo?(aside from game machanics, of course) Do the slugs use gas filed cartridges, and the gas is heated up and foucused into the granade? Or i gas some separate gas tanks, that, for the sake of simplicity don´t count as munition?(I´m just theorizing, of course) so how does it work? Hominid 09:50, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I think it is the first thing you said, game mechanics. The explanation of the slugs being gas-filled cartridges is intriguing, but the game manual specifically calls the secondary fire a "concussion" one. I don't think concussion is energy... isn't it the same as sonic, or sound? -BaronGrackle 01:01, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
concussive granade
Edit
I also don´t think that ,,concussive" is some separate form of energy, for it figuratively means ,,force aplied to make a object tremble, shaking, sending out waves of force, and is called so because the granade creates ripples of energy on impact. Hominid 21:16, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Learn to Spell
Edit
First off, why do you guys not get that in the games you couldn't deflect them you could just block them, and second this is possible via the fact that it would disintegrate whatever it touched that was that small. Oh and P.S. Learn to spell!!!!
Hold the phone
Edit
The Heavy repeating blaster has been identified as an entirely different weapon from the Heavy Repeater. It was definitely not first identified in the RECG, it's been a core weapon since *at least* the 1st edition of the d20 game nine years ago (I don't collect WEG books, so it may go back even further). There's even a pitcure of a heavy repeating blaster in the Revised Core rulebook, page 135; it looks nothing like a Heavy Repeater. Someone's messed up a bit, here.
