Curious...what source calls these dates the Imperial era? The Rise of the Empire era and Rebellion era already cover the years mentioned in it. -Jaymach Ral'Tir 14:51, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think the name of the Era warrants a source. The Empire ruled the Galaxy for a time. Therefore there definately was an "Imperial Era." Lonnyd 14:14, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
- As I said previously...the name of the era's this time period covers is the Rise of the Empire era and the Rebellion era. Although the Galactic Empire did indeed rule over the time period involved, unless there's a canon source calling it the Imperial era then this is simply fanon. - I think this goes toward the argument...er...discussion happening in the Old Republic era discussion page now. Does the Rise of the Empire era relate specifically to publications, or does it also incorporate events that occured during these years as a "time period"? Apparnetly there is a difference between the list of eras and the list of time periods. Personally, I think the two should be combined to provide a thorough ccount of the Time Periods/Eras of the universe. - SonofNils 04:07, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

The source for ending with the Battle of Endor? Edit

Beginning? Edit
The first sentence of the article currently: The Imperial Period[1] took place from the Battle of Geonosis—the beginning of the Clone Wars—to the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY.
So uh...besides Imperators' good question above (which never got answered), why on Earth would the Imperial period start with the Battle of Geonosis? Shouldn't it start with the Declaration of a New Order? — DigiFluid 16:52, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
