Merge?Edit

IIRC, these guys are different than Storm commandos. --SparqMan 01:17, 17 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • I'd say that, too. Only problem is that Storm commandos are sometimes also called Imperial commandos KEJ 14:34, 22 Dec 2005 (UTC)

We can cure that with a Youmay notice. --SparqMan 01:10, 23 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Could we try to get a picture?--General Antilles 14:42, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Source?Edit

Umm, what is the source for this? The picture displayed here is for Imperial walker pilots, not Imperial commandos. Their existence is questionable - all officers? Doesn't make sense in the least bit. Seems to me Imperial commando is just a generic term to apply to any commando outfit in the Empire; Storm Commandos being one of them. -Danik Kreldin 22:21, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

I'd have to agree... that picture is misappropriated. Those are Imperial walker "drivers". At best, that's the outfit for Imperial Army, and doesn't denote any kind of Commando standing. I think someone is really reaching here. "Imperial Commandos" and "Storm Commandos" are one in the same, unless a canon source dictates otherwise. -- Hawke / Rtufo 18:36, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

  • see the picture i put in the merge section there not the same as Storm Commandos (before you ask I'm too lasy to find my copy of DF and install it just to get a SS) DX-2052 21:04, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Exactly. I'd say that this is mislabled at best, fanon at worst. --CommanderGree117 20:04, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Imperial Commandos were the strongest of standard enemies in Star Wars: Dark Forces and Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. The information about them being picked from the Officer Corps and being adverse to melee weapons is from at least one of the game manuals. I haven't played Star Wars: Battlefront II, but the information and pictures I've seen online seem to indicate that the "Imperial Officer" is meant to be the same as this unit. He may be related to the AT-ST pilots, but isn't he able to pilot OTHER vehicles in the game, too? The AT-AT pilot looks completely different from the AT-ST pilot; if the "Imperial Officer" can pilot more than the AT-ST, then it probably wouldn't be fair to list or picture them as synonymous. -BaronGrackle 14:43, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

I´ve got itEdit

I´ve got the picture fromhttp://darkforces.jediknight.net/scr-mod02.shtml Here is the picture itself(don´t sure if it will work though)Commando00.jpg

The Imperial Commando is form SW: REBELLION (Game) Edit

Guys, The Imperial Commando is canon as far as I know.

There is a full profile in "SW: Rebellion", a game predecessor of "Empire at War"

Regards Darth Bunny

Last paragraphEdit

The last pragraph is strange. quote: Strangely, despite being much less armored and lacking an armor altogether, Commandos could withstand more blaster hits and explosions than the regular Stormtrooper.

I´ll change it Hominid 21:52, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Imperial Navy troope?Edit

I'm not sure what this is, and it shows up as a redlink. All I know is that "Imperial Commando" is a term consistently used in the Dark Forces games and books. -BaronGrackle 20:55, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Imperial commandos in Shadows of the Empire game? Edit

I thought there were Imperial Commandos in the Shadows of the Empire game that wore field armor like the imperial army trooper and had green armor and clothes? 'Alpha85 Mod terrik.jpg (Kamino Databank) 00:50, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Question- rank Edit

How do we know the sandtrooper in the article image is a stormtrooper Lieutenant? Is there any evidence? 'Alpha85 Mod terrik.jpg (Kamino Databank) 19:09, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Old comment, but the screenshot comes from Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. In that game manual, the soldiers who look like sandtroopers are identified as stormtrooper lieutenants. The game does not even have sand-based planets. -BaronGrackle 20:23, 22 July 2008 (UTC) My mistake; the manual calls them Field Stormtroopers. I'll correct it. -BaronGrackle 00:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Veers Edit

Veers looks just like the officer commandos in Battlefront 2. So either Ep. 5 is their first appearence, or they aren't in BF2. Unsigned comment by 72.139.73.26 (talk • contribs).

  • Veers is not an Imperial commando. Also, sign your posts with four tildes (~) -- Zakor1138 19:07, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Merge? Edit

  • Should we merge this with the imperial officer article. The imperial officer article is a broad article.--ARC commander4 19:31, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
    • Arent they two completely different things though? Commandoes are soldiers deployed in the field with proper gear whilst officers are just commanders sent to oversee things? Darth Batrus 20:33, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
  • Then why are they both in Battlefront II?--ARC commander4 21:46, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
    • Both in Battlefront II? Only the Imperial officer features in Battlefront 2. Imperial commandoes feature in Dark Forces for the first time and are also seen in The Force Unleashed. Darth Batrus 09:57, September 4, 2009 (UTC)
  • Then how come it says in the article that they are in BF II?--ARC commander4 12:33, September 4, 2009 (UTC)
    • I can't explain why someone put that in but anyone who has played the game can tell you that there is no Imperial Commando class in it. Amongst the special classes there is only the Imperial officer and a Dark trooper. Website doesnt even mention a commando and from memory, I recall no NPC called a commando in it. Ultimately though, an officer and a commando are two different things. Darth Batrus 15:29, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

501st Edit

yet in the novel it is clearly stated that their numbers were changed from RC-1136 for example to IC-1136 for Imperial Commando 1136. - Echostorm
