- The Imperial Sourcebook states that they were pilots, though not necessarily starfighter pilots. On pg. 42: "Gunners are a special sub-unit of the Imperial pilot corps . . . Most gunners are either pilots in training or pilots who failed to make the grade in all the skills necessary to fly a vessel." jSarek 23:51, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Actually, no, I take it back, someone needs to create an article for Imperial Engineers, that includes a reference to these guys, even if it's a stub. I can expand that (non-existent) article myself later, but I don't know how to create one. Xanofar 15:29, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
