[edit] Should it not be 'Inexpungable'?
As far as I am aware, the word "Inexpugnable" is mentioned only once in canon (in the Knights of the Old Republic Handbook). If this is the case, I suspect that may be a misspelling in that publication. I know the word 'expunge' means 'to delete or remove', and while I have not found 'inexpungable' in any dictionary, it seems clear that it might be used to mean 'cannot be deleted or removed'. I've no idea what 'inexpugnable' might mean, though, hence my suspicions. Can anybody shed any light on this? -Kev-La Ttolya 11:21, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have discovered that my suspicion was unfounded. I made a sneaky search of the Bloomsbury Concise English Dictionary (Second Edition) in a local shop and learnt a couple of things: 'Inexpugnable' means 'impossible to take by force' or 'impossible to overcome', while 'inexpungible' means what I thought, but is spelt with a second 'i'.-Kev-La Ttolya 09:43, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't matter. Misspelled or not, it's canon. You can't fix it. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 09:51, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- I am not trying to "fix" canon. I was merely wondering if the word was misspelt, and as it turns out, it is not. As I stated in my previous post above.-Kev-La Ttolya 10:42, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
