Prometheus?
Edit
Is it just me, or does the Pirate interceptor crusier look alot like the Prometheus from Stargate SG-1? you can see a better picture of Prometheus here (it shows the similarities better). Are the similarities just a coincidence, or is it delibrate? perhaps it should be mentioned in a Behind the Scenes section.
- looks like Prometheus to me. MandalorianWarriortalk

- Looks like the cruiser is based off of the Wild Karrde freighter model--The Erl of Talk talk What I do 15:36, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think it's just a modified Action-series freighter. They were designed long before SG-1. :) VT-16 13:28, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I object to having that picture there, as there is almost no similarities whatsoever. The Prometheus has a broad and flat "face" and an elongated "rear". Please do explain how that thing is similar to the pirate cruiser? VT-16 16:14, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- I agree—why must we even have that? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- You can't really see a resemlance with the current picture of the Pirate intercepter cruiser, but the old picture of the cruser:

shows some reseblance to Prometheus. the overall shape does look very similar 70.109.225.109 23:14, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

What is changed from the original ship is the back. The back of the ship DOES look a lot like the back of Prometheus.--1upD 20:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Interceptor IV...
Edit
The article states that Tyber Zann modified these frigates into Interceptor IVs. However, I was under the impression that the Interceptor IV was a seperate design, not a modification...Unit 8311 12:17, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Both classes look practically identical, minus modifications on the Interceptor IV. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Armament
Edit
I don't know for sure, but I would guess that the weaponry numbers given in the article are from Empire at War in-game stats. Is it really wise to list these as definitely canon? In the same game, Mon Cal cruisers have something like 6 turbolasers and 3 ion cannons, which of course is completely inaccurate. I know that this is probably the only source for the frigate's armament, and therefore should be "assumed" to be canon, but perhaps a mention should be made. Of course, if these stats are from elsewhere, I apologize for this long paragraph; carry on.
- Please sign all comments with four tildes (~), sorry, but until a good source says how many weapons it had that is all we have to go by.Nebulon B freak 22:54, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed something about the armament in EaW, it fires 6 turbolaser shots from each hardpoint, but nothing points to there actually being 6 turbolasers, there are 6 bones used by the turbolaser hardpoints, but two of those are just for targeting, the model itself appears to show just 4 turbolasers as some little holes on the sides.Nebulon B freak 19:21, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- The six turbolaser figure will have to be removed unless someone can actually source it. I don't know who put it there or where the information comes form, but it doesn't seem accurate.Nebulon B freak 23:13, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
