Moved from Talk:IscalonEdit

I wouldn't be surprised if the two planets were the same. Since Iskalon first appeared in 1983 in the Marvel comics and the game was released in 1987. However the name I only based it off an in-game fan translation and I'm not sure if it may've been correct. However scans from the instruction booklet of the game are available online which if possible, could someone try to translate and check whether it is the correct name of the planet as well the other planets? The scans can be found here: http://kotaku.com/5805780/when-japan-does-star-wars-things-change/ http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/9/2011/05/untitled-7_03.jpg

Additionally the pages feature some of the enemies from the game. Could anyone translate the names of them so we can create articles of them? http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/9/2011/05/untitled-5_03.jpg http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/9/2011/05/untitled-6_03.jpg

  • The decision as to whether to spell the English translation of the characters as "Iscalon" or "Iskalon" is based solely on the whim of the translator, rather than anything inherent to the characters themselves, since "K" and hard "C" sound identical. jSarek 10:14, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
    • That's logical. But what I want to know is for sure, what does the scan of the instruction booklet from the game say? Does it translate to Iscalon / Iskalon or to something completely different? I recall hearing that people claim the ice planet to be Hoth in the game however the in-game fan translation of the game calls it Tina. Is that what it's called in the scans which I've provided links above for? --Victory93 12:07, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
      • I can't read Japanese, but it seems the ice planet IS called Tina (see here). Seems Iskalon is legit, though. jSarek 01:42, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
        • Alright then, this page will be merged / redirected with Iskalon. It looks like Tina is an original planet to which I might create an article about it. If it's possible that there's translations on the enemies that appear in the game, I may be able to create articles for those too. --Victory93 06:38, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
