Seems as though the design for Jaig eyes, like many of the new stylings for personalized Clone trooper armor, came from concept art for Boba Fett. --SparqMan 05:23, 20 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • That should go in Behind the Scenes. You can also see the eyes on Fett's helmet here. QuentinGeorge 06:19, 20 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Should this be called Jaig... uh, Jai'galaar eyes? The long version seems more official, eh? -Aiddat 00:15, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Who has them and who doesn'tEdit

Okay. so if a cited reference is needed to prove that a clone has jaig eyes, then Rex is off the list. If not, then Goji is back on. GethralkinHyperwave 10:09, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

  • If I may be so bold, Gethralkin, I believe you're operating under a false impression. Not all eyes painted on a trooper's helmet are automatically "Jaig eyes". Squawk had what appears to be nexu eyes, while Goji had some manner of lizard. (Clearly Godzilla, but obviously only as an out-of-universe homage.) "Jaig eyes" are a specific sub-type of an artistic eye portrayal, characterized by the stylized and simplistic lines, hollow interior, and all around appearance identical to the Boba Fett concept art that first spawned them. Fordo and Fenn Shysa are both good points of visual reference. And while I appreciate your desire to include Goji, removing Rex when it's quite clear he deserves a mention in the article, isn't the best way to argue your point, especially since the source for Rex having Jaig eyes is The Clone Wars Visual Guide.--Bella'Mia 10:49, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
    • Where is the source of your information on how the eyes should be portrayed? In particular, the characterizations that you list? As far as points of reference, I think that the deletion of the mention of Goji's ship being from Red Squadron falls under that same category. The ship clearly was marked with Red Squadron striping—not just the color red. So if the style can not be used to ascertain the affiliation of a ship, then how can that be applied in this instance? As far as the verified source for Rex having jaig…if there is source, then cite it. GethralkinHyperwave 11:24, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
      • Rex has been cited. Goji still hasn't. CC7567 (talk) 18:40, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
