THE EXILE IS FEMALE. GET OVER IT, OR GET OFF THIS PAGE.

The New Essential Guide to Droids describes the Exile as a "heroine", making the female Exile canonical. This is further reinforced by the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide and The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, which explicitly state that the Exile is female. Anyone that changes the gender of the Exile on the main article page WILL be banned for vandalism and trolling. Also, this page is not the place to whine or complain that the Exile should be male. If you want to discuss that, there are many online forums you can go to to vent your frustration. Failure to do so will result in a cooldown ban.

Is this worth a BTS mention at least, in terms of a possible canon name? There is a canon source that can back this -- the instruction manual. DAWUSS 18:39, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Canon face?

The sources section says that because the Wookieepedia picture of the Exile was used in the Complete Encyclopedia, that makes the Exile's hair canonically brown. Wouldn't that make whatever face the person who took the picture used canon?

Also, I think that saying her hair is canonically brown because of the picture that was used is like saying Revan is canonically bald because that's how his action figure depicts him (Okay, few people actually make that argument, but there are some, and this whole "hair is canonically rown" thing just reminds me of it.). Sith Alchemy 101 10:38, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

If the Complete Encyclopedia provides an image of the Jedi Exile then surely it must be canon. Jayce Carver

Oh I see. The encyclopedia used Wookieepedia's main image. I'm not sure then. Presumably the authors of the encyclopedia used the image for the same reasons we did, because her face is obscured. Jayce Carver

If what I've seen and heard is true, we're getting an Exile minature in the next Star Wars miniatures set. It looks like we may get a canon face for her. Sith Alchemy 101 21:25, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Here she is. [1] Light skin, brown hair. Editing in now. Revan211 04:25, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Dammit...if I had known my image would have this much effect I would have chosen another head. Not that God awful brown haired one. --Redemption(Talk) 04:31, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Nice one Redemption, major contribution to canon! Does this mean we can change the main image to one that shows her face? I suppose this also makes the cyan lightsaber canon. Jayce Carver 10:09, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Which one did you use?[2]

I hope to God it's not shady eyes up in the upper right. If it was, just say that it was the one in the middle, second from the bottom. She has brown hair too and would be much better, imo. Revan211 13:57, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

That's the one I thought it was too. She matches the miniture as well. Jayce Carver

I don't think so, the one in the upper right is the only one who's got that haircut. Not bad :) reminds me of Gloria Swanson.--Jinger 20:23, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

I guess it could be either one. The hairstyes look fairly simmalar to me. Jayce Carver

I actually think the head Redemption picked works well. She looks older than the others to me, and I always thought the Exile would probably be in her thirties (or late twenties at the youngest). Sith Alchemy 101 13:53, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Gah. That upper right head is awful... can you say man-face? Personally, I've been hoping that this pic would be canonized as the Exile: Master Duelist KotORCG.jpg.—Sentry 01:58, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Who said she had to be hot? DAWUSS 04:34, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Not sure that it helps, but Star Wars Minis "Jedi Academy" set is releasing a Jedi Exile. Here's a picture of her from a poster, but we'll have to wait a bit for something of better quality: (image removed). -BaronGrackle 16:46, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Might want to check the links above, chief. The actual head itself isn't nearly as bad as the portrait, thankfully. Render of PFCH1. --Redemption(Talk) 16:55, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

I was wondering, for those who have seen the booster art for the Jedi Academy set, is the female Jedi supposed to be the Exile? Sith Alchemy 101 16:59, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Do we have to wait until the miniture is released before we can change the image? Or can we take the image in the CE as confirmation? Jayce Carver

  • I think the booster art is for Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight. Once we have access to the mini, though, I bet the stat card will have a fine image that can go somewhere on the page. I removed the bloomilk.com link because it's probably messing with the guy's bandwidth, and it'll be irrelevant once the clearer picture comes out. -BaronGrackle 17:23, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
  • So can someone upload an image of her face from the game already?--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:04, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
    • That won't help. There are many faces in the game. We'll just use the image provided with the miniature. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 16:08, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
      • Yes but the miniture establishes which one the many is the canocial one. I think we have to wait for the miniture to be released Kasra, as it could be changed between now and it's release date, or it may be cancelled. Jayce Carver
  • I guess, but since we know that her canonical face is the one white woman with a brown ponytail, why can't someone, playing as that Exile, just upload an image from the game?--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:17, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Well, the set's out now, and the Exile has a canon face. Sith Alchemy 101 08:04, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Lets get the image changed then. Arandil 16:32, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Hopefully it's not canon, but Leeland never actually said anything about the Exile, only Revan. While I'm not completely sure, one of the versions of the cover art looks to be the Exile, which would be very different from just a Hasbro figure. Drewton (Drewton's Holocron) 17:09, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I believe that artwork is either of Leia or Jaina. Leeland answered two questions in one: "is the figure representational of the canon face?" just not in so many words. --Redemption(Talk) 17:24, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

The artwork is of Leia. Chee specifically said it was a possible representation of Revan. The diffrence is Revan's face is not shown in the action figure, wheras the miniture uses a specific face for the Exile, which, if i'm not mistaken is the one from the CE. Arandil 17:29, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

  • So does she still not have a canon face? Sith Alchemy 101 18:19, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
  • This is a macro photo of The Jedi Exile fig's card from SWM Jedi Academy. It shows her face. I don't have scanner to give a better picture. I don't know witch in-game photo fits for this. Darth Morrt 11:10, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
Jedi Exile from SWM
    • Could belong to a couple of faces, pending how she ages. That looks more like a pic from her days during the Mando Wars TBH. DAWUSS 04:34, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
      • The face is featureless but she looks caucassian. Judging by the hair, she can be the ninth headshot. MoffRebusMy Talk 16:08, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
        • But taking a look at the IG model and comparing it with the action figure, the hair color is a bit darker on the action figure. Now, I don't know where action figures rank on the canon totem pole, but I would guess it's quite low. I agree, it's quite featureless, to the point where a couple of faces (including.... wait for it.... wait for it.... some fan-made mod faces) could qualify. At least the brown hair provides the most options. DAWUSS 00:38, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

I have two questions Why is her hair so short? Is it really okay for her to have a cannon face? I don't think the Star Wars Miniature set is really a credible source to base her appearance on. --Sakura22222 23:33, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Why would the length of her hair matter? Womyn can have short hair if they want to. And yes, it's certainly okay for her to have a canon face. Are you upset that the Exile doesn't look the way you always imagined? --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 15:00, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

Romances

I feel this sub-section should be renamed to Relationships, as while many of the characters listed under it professed love for the Exile, platonic and otherwise, I don't ever remember her reciprocating to the point of romantic affection. OLIOSTER 03:39, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

  • "Did he love me?" "And you?" Closest one actually gets. DAWUSS 01:49, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Galactic Republic Defense Ministry Daily Brief KD0092

  • What's the possible mention in Galactic Republic Defense Ministry Daily Brief KD0092? --Eyrezer 09:41, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Jedi liaison now confirms one of the Knights on regular assignment on Serroco before the devastation has reported back, having escaped on one of the three military vessels that was able to make light speed. Reports indicate others were present, and one or more may have been part of the reported prisoner transfer to the Taris sector.

It could be a mention of the Exile, I guess, because she was supposed to have been present during the battle.—Sentry 10:21, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Jedi Master?

Why has no one bothered to list the Exile as a master? After all, she was one of the classes reserved for that rank, what are your opinions?-User:Atrulean Starkiller 8:08, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

  • She was never formally granted the title of Jedi Master.--Jinger 10:11, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Neither was Luke Skywalker and Ulic Qel-Droma and yet they are listed as such. User:Atrulean Starkiller August 6, 2009 (UTC)

Well, considering that the Exile's disciples eventually became the new Masters of the Order, it would be kind of funny if she wasn't counted as a Master. But I don't think any canon source exists in which she is stated to be a Master, whereas I'd bet that's the case with Luke and Ulic.--Jinger 21:59, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Yeah, but she assumed the rank and also took on one the prestige classes (even though Master was counted as one, Watchmen and Weapon Master are considered Masters too). Jedi Striker 02:16, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Jedi titles are granted to you, you don't just assume the rank of Jedi Master. The Exile is a special case, but I don't think the article should call her a Jedi Master until some canon source does so, otherwise it would be fanon.--Jinger 12:16, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Actually, you can assume the title such as Luke did and on a lesser note, Jorus C'baoth. As for sources, Kotor II technically establishes her as a master. User:Atrulean Starkiller August 7, 2009 (UTC)

  2. Victory for the Feminists. She has an actual face, you know. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 20:48, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
    • The reason the original image was created and chosen was so that we wouldn't piss off the fanboys and roleplayers. Now that she has a canon face, the original image isn't needed. As stated at the top of the page, The Jedi Exile is female. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 20:54, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
  3. Seeing as how this one shows her face, I think it's pretty obvious. Xicer9(Combadge) 20:50, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
  4. On the condition that option 1 stays in the article, given its notability as something LFL saw fit to steal from us. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 21:02, September 27, 2009 (UTC)

  8. Yep, it's her canon face now, isn't it? The only knock to it is that it's not in-game, but that's not much of aproblem,--Golden Monkey 22:31, September 27, 2009 (UTC)

Atris Responsible for the Exile's "return to known space"?

The introductory lines to the Dark Wars section read as follows:

"Full details of the Exile's adventures in the Outer Rim are unknown, but it is known that Atris had orchestrated the Exile's return to known space. In order to trick the Sith into revealing themselves, Atris leaked her return to the galaxy and, predictably, attracted the attention of the Sith Triumvirate."

The source given is The Old Republic Campaign Guide, but there is no such reference in the CG. The entry for the Exile suggests that the Exile returned from her wanderings once she heard that the Jedi were being exterminated, although I'm not sure that is consistent with the game. The entry for Atris makes no mention at all of the Exile's "return to known space," or leaking that information into the Core-ward databases. The timeline in the CG makes no mention of the Exile's "return to known space."

Has someone mixed up Atris's leak of the convocation on Katarr with the Exile's return to space? Does anyone know where this information comes from? Jedi Jim 23:46, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

  • It's actually from the game itself during the Exile's confrontation with her. "So I arranged for you to return to the Republic, leaked knowledge of your presence and waited for the Sith to show. And they did." --Redemption(Talk) 02:31, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
    • Thank you for the response. How were you able to locate the dialogue so quickly? Should we change the sourcing for that statement? Jedi Jim 16:05, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
      • You can easily find any dialog you want using a TLK editor/browser that allows you to shift and search through the dialog.tlk file. KotORTLK is the one I use (google it, should come up) ( Uli Talk 06:55, October 15, 2009 (UTC))
