- I assume it's based on Jeremy's age as of filming - which is considered vaild for Human characters playing a character apparently of same or similar age to themselves - Kwenn
- I wouldn't consider that valid. The radiation we receive on Earth is likely to be completely different than that received by Humans on other worlds, let alone those who spend much of their time in space, shielded from solar radiation. On top of that, actor ages and character ages don't seem to match up (when we are given a character's age). Further, the company line is that in the GFFA "60 = 40" (a retcon to explain why Han Solo can still run around like he's 25, but the world from Lucas Licensing none the less. I have a hard time swallowing the use of the actor's age. At most, I would find a note in a "Behind the Scenes" section suggesting the age of the character based on the actor. --SparqMan 17:56, 17 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think we were meant to take the "60 is the new 40" line that literally. But actor ages certainly aren't conclusive, looking at Padme or Obi-wan.-LtNOWIS 22:04, 16 Sep 2005 (UTC)
'captain Colton'
Edit
Is it possible that he is 'Captain Colton' mentioned by 3PO in the ANH novelization and Tales of Golden Droid? It is often thought he referred to the person strangled by Vader, until his G-canon name was given as Raymus, not Colton. Does C-3PO says that 'Captain Colton' was strangled, or not? Was Jeremoch Colton a captain? MoffRebus 07:43, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- The novelization of A New Hope has some differences from the original film as it is. The 'Captain Colton' strangled in A New Hope is Jeremoch Colton, however this can easily be considered non-canonical, besides that same novel has Cassio Tagge getting strangled by Darth Vader, the officer Moradmin Bast who reported the danger of the Rebel attack to Grand Moff Tarkin running away from the room and Emperor Palpatine as a figurehead who has no real power. The Colton Antilles character is hard to figure out in Tales of the Golden Droid, and I doubt there can be a canon explanation to that situation. 24.91.192.55 13:42, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
