Death
Edit
Joclad is killed in the arena. You can see his body lying on the ground as the Jedi run to the gunships. Yes, he's part of the survivor's circle prior to the intervention of the clones, but presumably he gets shot down during the gunship landing. Check out this page on the OS: it states only that Joclad was seen standing in the ring of survivors; it doesn't mention his fate after the Republic Army arrives - Kwenn
- Joclad can be seen to the right of Mace Windu's charge during the ground battle and if you look at other wiki site's it says he does indeed survive and is killed in the jedi purge by his clones. User:Darthballs981
- But that Wiki, like this, is comprised of user-submitted info: no official source I've ever seen states that Joclad was killed by his clone troopers; he hasn't appeared in any post-AotC material - [[User:Kwenn|Kwenn
- I'm sorry I haven't stated that that I'm getting this from other Encyclopedia sites as well. And as for not seeing joclad in any post-AOTC material there are a bunch of jedi just like him we don't get to see in the clone wars and no official sites I'VE looked at said he died in the arena and I swear it's him running to right of Windu's charge during the ground battle. and if you notice he seems to be laying on the ground in One shot and the standing in the next. I think it's just an error in the movie. —Unsigned comment by Darthballs981 (talk • contribs).
- Leland Chee's latest Blog states that Danva is a 'possible' casualty during the gunship arrival. And yes, I've noticed a Danva-a-like with Mace, but note there are more Jedi than just the arena survivors in the Battle of Geonosis: for one, Kai Justiss appears similar to Joclad. I don't think this article should state Danva dies in the Purge unless we get evidence. Better to say he was presumed dead in the arena (remember, Sora Bulq and Saesee Tiin are presumed dead on Geonosis, but later return) - Kwenn
- True I agree but instead of saying he's dead as you've said how about we just put that his fate as unknown? after all we don't know for sure. Question? who is this Kai Justiss is he in the arena? sorry one more question to ponder? even if joclad was shot down when the gunships came did he die or was he wounded because the STAR WARS website says not all jedi died from wounds they recived. by the way check out these web sites.http://www.geocities.com/ksw_gh/char_joclad01 TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK? - The website you linked to is my (old) site, made at a time when I thought Danva would be appearing in RotS (Kyle Rowling, who played Danva, was returning as Dooku's stunt-double, but I assumed he was also reprising the role of Joclad). And yes, 'fate unknown' will suffice for now - Kwenn
- Hey man I've found Joclad mentioned in post-AOTC material In a book called Battle Surgeons Barriss Offee talks like he's still alive at the time of this book. User:Darthballs981]]
- That's convincing, even though, the forums at starwars.com mention him dead. They said he was seen falling between Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan. I don't know if I understood or remember the content correctly. Here is the link anyway: [1] This forum also mentions tons of names I have not even heard of. - TopAce
- I really don't know i've seen lots forums that have people agreeing with me that he is alive and seen during the ground battle to Mace's right leading clone's and like you said I've also seen people post that think he's dead it's a toss up to what you belive really. User:Darthballs981]]
- On his Blog, Leland agrees that "Joclad Danva (possibly killed during gunship arrival)" is a reference to the fact that Joclad is seen lying dead on the arena floor in one shot, then is seen standing fighting in another - Kwenn
- Nice.User:Darkhelmet 666
- hey kwenn just saw you mention Kai Justiss as the Danva-a-like with Mace I think the guy in the background had a green saber and Kai Justiss has a blue one.just a thought.User:Darkhelmet 666

Ani's and Obi's geo saber
Edit
His he the guy he gave ani or obi their lightsaber to fight with in the Battle of Geo, if so, we should put this in the articleRevan 01:41, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think he is. IIRC, there were two guys, one of which had a goatee. Neither looked like Danva - Kwenn 16:58, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- No, he wasn't. The bald one is Sephjet Josall and the one with the goatee is Nicanas Tassu. Mastermundi 14:00, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Picture location
Edit
Where is he in the picture? - --24.147.147.81 16:54, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- Er, he's the only guy in the picture.... - Kwenn 16:58, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Two deaths
Edit
In the scene on Geonosis when Dooku start talking and everyone looks up, Joclad was standing between Anakin and Agen Kolar. But he is now seen lying on the floor apparently dead. when the gunships arrive, he is seen alive and well. Unless this is a weird form of meditating, he is ressurected. Mastermundi 14:23, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
A few things
Edit
1) the quote from MedStar does not indicate he is alive. It alludes to a character in the book defeating Danva in combat. Note that HNN established this even as occurring BEFORE Geonosis, so that is irrelevant to determining his fate post-Battle. 2) Kai Justiss is irrelevent to this discussion. He is an EU character modeled after a friend of the artist that drew him. He's not in any movies. Noone seen onscreen at Geonosis is actually Justiss. —Unsigned comment by JustinGann (talk • contribs).
First Appearance
Edit
The Danva character actually first appeared in the HNN article, which was published before AotC. But he only appeared in it because he was about to be in AotC - Would it be correct to say that he still first appeared in HNN? KastMorben 13:49, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Recent anon edit about him dying in the Jedi Temple
Edit
An anon has just put in a sentence which says Danva was killed in the Raid on the Jedi Temple. Has there been any canon material released which confirms this? - TopAce 09:39, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Fate
Edit
hello everyone i have changed joclads fate to unknown because we really dont know,we do know that there were jedi in the arena that survived from being shot.On his Blog, Leland agrees that "Joclad Danva (possibly killed during gunship arrival)" is a reference to the fact that Joclad is seen lying dead on the arena floor in one shot, then is seen standing fighting in another. before anyone trys to change this please come give me a good reason!. Peace Darth Balls666
- "His ultimate fate is unknown" and similar phrases aren't in articles per the Manual of Style. -- I need a name (Complain here) 16:34, 14 November 2008 (UTC).
Regardless it stands that nobody knows really what happend to him and this should be stated.phrase it anyway you want.
It says "possible" KIA its not for sure and this must be addresed!!! give me a reason to stop fighting over this because i will keep editing it. I changed it just to clear up some confusion!
Barriss Offee
Edit
I read that Joclad was still alive but injured after the gunships left and was found by Barris Offee. Both of them got on board the final gunship that came after the others had already left. (Also, Offee healed Joclad)
