[edit] Picture

I added the unmasked picture to the page and QuentinGeorge switched it to the main picture. It doesn't fit the page to have the unmasked image for his main picture. Kast is known for looking like Boba Fett and it should remain that way. --DannyBoy7783 00:58, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • We prefer to use unmasked pictures for the infobox. Please see Jango Fett -- QuentinGeorge 02:35, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • I can see how that would make sense. However, Boba Fett's page doesn't have an unmasked picture of him in his infobox. Kast was almost always seen with his mask on. I don't think it represents the character by having that picture up in the info box. Darth Vader's page doesn't have an unmasked photo of him in the info box either. I'm sorry but your "preference" isn't much of a preference and I disagree with it for this character. --DannyBoy7783 02:41, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)
      • Boba Fett and Vader are movie characters, and in that case movie images always take precedent. QuentinGeorge 02:48, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)
        • there are plenty of images of Vader unmasked from Jedi yet those images aren't used for his infobox.--DannyBoy7783 02:50, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)
          • Darth Vader is an iconic character and hence the most recognisable image of him (as a black suited cyborg) is used, rather than his pre-Mustafar incarnation. Look, I frankly don't really care what image you use here. I'm just trying to keep the entries consistent - look at the other entries for characters who wear Mandalorian armor - Fenn Shysa, Tobbi Dala, Mandalore the Resurrector, Jaster Mereel, Canderous Ordo. In each of these cases, the "unmasked" image is used. QuentinGeorge 02:53, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)
            • I didn't realize so many of the Mandalorians were unmasked. I'll let it go. Sorry.--DannyBoy7783 04:37, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Teräs Käsi

In the game Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi, does Jodo Kast use Teräs Käsi or another fighting style? --SparqMan 22:55, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Since the other unlockable characters (except Vader) fight like other characters(Stormtrooper = Han Solo; Princess Leia! = Princess Leia; Mara Jade = Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader), I'd say that Jodo Kast has the same moves as Boba Fett.

[edit] The edit for the final stand

When I logged on yesterday, I saw instead of the final stand, "the final stand of the fuckers of bitches"!! I can't believe what idiot put that there! Dude, its a MANDOLARIAN! Unsigned comment by 85.140.27.33 (talk • contribs).

  • I am sorry you had to see that act of vandalism. --Imp 18:15, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Funny you were surprised by your own act of vandalism, anon...please refrain from doing anything similar in the future - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 18:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thrawn

Shouldn't it be mentioned that Grand Admiral Thrawn used his armor to impersonate Jodo Cast? Thelgord

[edit] Tatooine Manhunt theory

it is plausible that he was created in order to give the players the satisfaction of defeating (and possibly killing) "Boba Fett" without actually affecting the canon. - A very big "plausible". Of course it is "plausible", but the opposite is true. My opinion is: Without a canon source confirming it, we cannot be sure and thus the paragraph is original research, and thus unencyclopedic. - Skippy Farlstendoiro 06:54, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Agreed. It needs to die. jSarek 07:41, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] main pic

can we change the main picture its kinda gross do we have another oneZ-wing? 23:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

  • There's no other picture of him unmasked, and a masked picture wouldn't distinguish him from Boba Fett. —Silly Dan (talk) 23:48, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Action Figure

The article says it's going to appear in Hasbro's 2009 line, but, um, I actually bought it at a Kroger about a week ago. It's sitting, unopened, on my shelf with my Boba Fett things. --The Wolfe22 01:05, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Death Similarity

I believe that the way in which Jodo Kast died was remarkably similar to the ending of the movie "Mad Max," in which "Max" kills a criminal in a very similar way. I was wondering if there should be some mention of this in the Behind the Scenes section. Freedon 03:58, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fett's Last Chance

(Hi everyone!) Shouldn't it be mentioned that the "last chance" given to Kast by Boba Fett didn't actually exist? The article says that Kast was unable to save himself, but, if my memory serves me well, Fett confessed Dengar that he actually hadn't given Kast any chance to survive (I think because none of the vials actually contained the antidote). I tried to add a mention to this fact in the article, but my change was reversed by Harrar (nothing to say about it: of course his decision is more than correct, but I was just wandering why my change was wrong). Kael Rayne 15:25, 21 Apr 2009 (UTC)

  • From Boba Fett: Twin Engines of Destruction: in the last page of the comic, Boba and Dengar are leaving the planet with the Slave I. Dengar asks Boba why he gave Kast a chance to survive, and Boba answers somethink like "never given" (it's "mai data", in Italian, which can be transated, as I was saying, as "never given"). I think it's an important part, in order to understand that character of Fett and the chance that he "never gave" him. Kael Rayne 15:44, 21 Apr 2009 (UTC)
    • Interesting, thanks --Ve-Sioux Ordo (Mando'a) 15:48, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
      • As the writer of this, I'm pretty sure the implication was that Kast didn't have a chance simply because he wasn't good enough. Boba gave him one in theory, but he never really had it. Boba has a line that's something like "You won't. You're not me." - Lord Hydronium 19:27, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
      • Probably you're right, but the last line of Fett of the comic says something like "never given", as I said (I'm sorry, but, being Italian, I've read the comic in my mother-language, and don't know how the line is in the original version): this convinced me that none of the vials actually contained the antidote. Maybe, this is one of those situations when we'll never know the truth, but I would humbly suggest to mention this "doubt", because nothing guarantees that Fett really gave him a chance to survive. Kael Rayne 10:26, 22 Apr 2009 (UTC)
        • I don't have the comic on me, but as I recall, the English version was just "I didn't." - Lord Hydronium 10:36, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
          • That's correct. In the English comic Dengar says "So why'd you give him a change to live?" and Fett replied "I didn't." Xicer9(Combadge) 10:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
