DeadEdit

Can someone tell me where we got the idea that this guy is anything other than a half-digested rancor snack? —Darth Culator (talk) 05:44, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)

jubnuk lives Edit

In a book made by Kevin J. Anderson and his wife Rebecca somthing, it is about jubnuk and talks about his bad day looking for jabba's lucky charm... eventually it gets to the point where he falls in the pit with luke.. and it says his armour protected him, and he found his lucky charm and he was cut out of the rancor by malikili after he saw a rustling in its dead body. It was a pop-up book made about the same time of the special editions, and was illustrated by Ralph Mcquarrie. Unsigned comment by 24.70.95.204 (talk • contribs).

  • I don't remember it saying that. I've read the Pop-up and all it says is what Jubnuk thought right before He gets chomped down. I would love to know where you got this info. because i'm an avid Gamorrean fan. I'm sure it wasn't from the pop-up. -- jabbathehuttgartogg
  • How is this canon? Apparently now his page says that was indeed canon, no longer has a date of death and even says the book IS canon on its article. 71.233.247.70 23:26, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

No lie! Edit

On the last page, the panel where it says his last thoughts, the dialouge can be flipped over, and it says he survived. Kind of a gruesome and sad way to end a childrens book otherwise don't you think? if anyone has this book can you confirm this? Unsigned comment by 66.236.159.194 (talk • contribs).

  • But in the film, the rancor bites down. Jubnuk appears to be dead befor he is completely swallowed.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem.svg 21:13, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Movie canon overrides all other canon. -- SFH 21:19, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

There are two problems with your jubnuk dies thing. 1. Jubnuk's armour protected him. 2. He may only of been knocked out by the rancor's bite. These problems make sense don't they?--Windu223 22:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

  • ...He was eaten piece by piece! -- SFH 22:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

good point.--Windu223 00:59, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

DungeonEdit

  • How do we know that Jubnuk is the Gamorrean who accompanies Threepio and Artoo to the Dungeons? What's the source for this? --Sompeetalay 08:44, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

he is dead Edit

well he was killed and torn to pieces! his hand was sticking out and torn off from his arm 2 he was chewed to death and thats that! am i right?-Boba fett 32 23:33, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

and besides if you look closely on the picture of him getting eaten up you could see his back neck stabbed by his tooth and he will never survive that!-Boba fett 32 23:38, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

I AGREE I think we can say that it's official,. By darn, HE GOT TORN TO PIECES!!!! Unsigned comment by 99.189.134.144 (talk • contribs).

Didn't Boba Fett get eaten by the Sarlacc, though? He lived through it. Besides, he's still wearing the helmet. For all we know, the helmet may have cushioned it a little. Still, the fact that there hasn't been a source other than that pop-up book to confirm his ultimate fate either way is suspect. Heck, I don't think that Star Wars Canon person on the Star Wars forums who usually says what's canon and what's not has confirmed whether that book is canon (and if so, which level of canon) or not, hasn't he/she? Maybe we should move this to the behind the scenes saying that his final fate is ambiguous.
However, if it's confirmed that he survived due to the "lucky talisman" he found, then that makes three Gammorean Guards who survived, and it also makes him indirectly responsible for Jabba's death (seeing how Jabba, thanks to his lucky charm going missing and Jubnuk failing to return it to him prior to leaving, just ran out of luck that day) Unsigned comment by 66.32.159.212 (talk • contribs).

Armor-shmarmor Edit

There was a LOUD freaking CRUNCH when the rancor bit down. AND he stopped squealing very suddenly. Also, by the time he would have been cut out, he would be either dead or braindead from suffocation, even if the chomping didn't kill him. He is the deadest pork that was ever eaten by a rancor. Unsigned comment by 71.126.12.180 (talk • contribs).

Actually, he does still squeal a bit after the loud crunch, but it was muffled a bit. Weedle McHairybug 17:55, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

It's a book by 2 authors who have contributed a great deal to Star Wars lore, and illustrated by Ralph McQuarrie. These 3 big names would make me lean towards this book being something worth considering as being "canon". We saw Boba Fett get swallowed by the sarlacc's beak? It burped afterwards meaning he was eaten. It wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened.. Didn't we see Darth Maul get cut in half and fall down a pit? It's a good story anyways, a nice happy ending for a family man! Lets cut the green pig a break!

  • So, is he dead or not!? If a book said he lives, then he lives! Somehow though, he's marked as dead. So, I think it should be changed back. we can't just speculate that he died just because it LOOKS bad. HE'S ALVIE!!--Jet Twilights 04:00, December 3, 2011 (UTC)
