I don't think Kyle Katarn had anything to do with the Katarn Commandos - I've read the Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook, which goes into length on the Commandos, and they don't mention anything about Kyle. It says the Katarn Commandos are just named after the Katarn creature found on certain planets. Anyone have a source that states otherwise? --Danik Kreldin 04:02, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

• At Galaxy at War it said later Kyle Katarn joined Page's commandos in New Republic early years, but reference to commando was early as during evacuation from Hoth lead by major Bren Derlin under name SpecForce 32nd commando and fought as far to Battle of Endor. After Endor command was turned to Judder Page and he named it as Katarn commandos acording TTTs (after katarn creature), but according GAW it may be also after Kyle Katarn joined. I think something like this should be added to improve quality of article in some form. That's why I put stub and expand template there.--Jedi Marty 01:46, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
