CopyrightEdit

Why is this!? Copyright, schmopy-right. Properity sucks.... --193.216.226.183 10:10, 17 Aug 2005 (UTC)

  • I would much rather obey the law and get to keep the website, then make an empty stand for hollow principles and lose the site altogether. A person can try and stand against a storm and demand that it respect him . . . but the wind does not respect a fool. jSarek 12:45, 17 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Temp pageEdit

I made a temp page, so if any admin wants to do the old switcheroo, it'll be all fine... Unsigned comment by Kuralyov (talk • contribs).

Adding SpeculationEdit

Does anyone have a source for this part of the article:

The false Royal Guards promoted by Admiral Daala and the clone guardsman, Major Grodin Tierce, were killed by him along with pretenders including the false guards who ruled the Second Imperium's Shadow Academy.

I'm sure that he would have been the one to have tracked down the fake guards, but Tierce was killed by Shada, and three of the guards who led the Second Imperium were killed by Brakiss.-Cull Tremayne 00:57, 8 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • another innaccurate entry. Blackhole Stormtroopers didnt overrun them. --Razzy1319 06:27, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Force SensitiveEdit

I'm not certain if anyone ever noticed this, but in Crimson Empire, during the flashback to his fight with Vader, Kanos uses the Force to bring his double-sword thing to his hand from some feet on the floor behind him. It was very briefly shown, in only two panels seperated by a page break, and is easily missed, but it does show his ability.--68.0.144.96 05:16, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Didn't WotC's Dark Side Sourcebook outright say, that only those who were force sensitive were trained on Yinchorr? --Craven 12:03, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
    • How sure are we about this? Can someone please quote the passage from the DSSB? I don't remember anything linking Emperor's Guards to being always force-sensitive. And that part in Crimson Empire is ambiguous and isn't undeniable proof that Kanos had ability in the Force. One picture on a page shows Kanos reaching his hand out for his weapon with the weapon still lying on the floor. The next picture (on the next page) shows Kanos getting ready to swing his weapon at Vader. It's a big enough gap in action that we could have possible not seen Kanos crouch to grab the weapon and then swing his weapon at Vader while he was rising to his full height. Also, why don't we see Kanos utilizing the force in his fight with Jax at all? If he had the force, that would be the place to use it, especially when Jax smashes a boulder into the back of his head. Even a minor talent in the force would be enough to sense that. Cull Tremayne 00:30, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
      • Ah, found it: The Dark Side Sourcebook, page 98:
"Those members of the Imperial stormtroopers who showed particular expertise were recruited into the Imperial Royal Guard, the red-garbed personal bodyguards of the Emperor himself. But each was also tested for Force potential, and those who displayed an aptitude for wielding the Force were singled out for special training on the isolated world of Yinchorr."
"Their primary duty was to protect the Emperor from any threat - but failing that, they were trained in Force techniques that could sustain the Emperor until help arrived. In all its history, the Royal Guard was never called upton to perform the latter duty."
So it seems, all those royal guards trained on Yinchorr were force sensitive. But we don't know how strong they were in the force and what kind of force training they received there (besides that healing thing). Maybe they just learned some basic force techniques to enhance their fighting skills? --Craven 12:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
        • Oooh, nice catch, but are we certain that it's not just exclusively referring to Sovereign Protectors? In that case the first block doesn't say that the other Royal Guards didn't train on Yinchorr, only that some guards received "special training" on the planet. That would also make the second block a clarification of what those who were "specially trained" were expected to do. However, without more explanation , I'll still assume that Kanos was a force-sensitive as he trained on Yinchorr. Cull Tremayne 21:50, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
          • A Guide to the Star Wars Universe (3rd Edition, Del Rey, 2000) states explicitly that only Sovereign Protectors were trained Force-users. If Kanos was an ordinary Guardsman, he could still have had latent Force potential, but he wouldn't be able to use much of it. Evir Daal 08:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
            • In the article for Carnor Jax, it is suggested that Jax, along with Kanos, could be clones grown from the same prime clone. In that case, since Jax is force-sensitive, it is almost certain Kanos would be as well. The only difference between the two is that Jax was singled out by Lumiya, who trained him to use his powers. MergeEdit

Now Darth Vader has been merged with Anakin Skywalker shouldn't Kenix Kil be merged with this page? 82.39.72.184 01:36, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

  • No, we have articles for aliases, so this is fine. Cull Tremayne 06:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

EndingEdit

  • A find end to the {old} Star Wars soap opera-Kir Kanos the last servant of the Evil EMpire vs Luke Skywalker the ultimate Jedi servant of the New Republic-both end up killing one another-like King Arthur saga; of course that wouldn't stop another generation of Star Wars battles of the "New Republic" !
