Slis Tieeer DualliEdit

I left this name in the infobox when I expanded the article, but I don't know if it's canon or not. I vote that we take it out for now, since there's no source that I can find for this individual.--Demos Traxen 22:54, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yeah, me neither. I wasn't sure if you had added it or not, so I left it in, but since we seem to be on the same page, I'll yank it. ~ SavageBob 01:27, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
  • OK, apparently Dualli is a character from Rebel Force: Firefight, so this is a legit Kobok we need to integrate into the article. ~ SavageBob 04:21, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
    • Do you have the book? I'd never even heard of it until now.--Demos Traxen 21:34, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
      • Unfortunately, no. It is searchable at amazon.com, though, so we can see at least a few of the pages Dualli is on. The problem is that I'm not sure how extensive the Kobok's involvement is with the story, so we'll have to get our hands on a copy somehow. Not to worry, though; libraries are good. :) ~ SavageBob 23:55, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
        • Libraries are our friends. I have a fear that Dualli is going to be a minor mercenary character. Oh stereotypes.--Demos Traxen 00:57, September 13, 2010 (UTC)
          • Turns out you're right. :/ The whole first chapter of the book is accessible at Amazon, and Dualli doesn't appear beyond the first chapter. Basically, we need to add a paragraph to "In the galaxy" about him, and perhaps mention that some Koboks modified their spacecraft to take advantage of their 360-degree field of vision (Dualli has a radar screen positioned in his fighter so his third eye can see it). Oh, and we learn that the Koboks' compound eyes allow them to see in a wide arch even without the third eye in the back, and that chsthiss means "good-bye" in Kobothi.
          • Basically, Dualli is a yellow Kobok mercenary who considers himself the greatest Kobok pilot in the galaxy and the greatest pilot of any species in the Outer Rim. He flies a modified CloakShape fighter, altered to hold six missiles in each missile launcher, a "rear-mounted maneuvering fin, and a turbo-charged ion engine." He had flown the ship in several missions, and the modifications had saved his carapace from time to time. At the point of the story, he's been a merc for 20 years, and he's taken jobs as a smuggler, assassin, and piloting. However, he had a temper, and if an employer crossed him, he tended to kill them. This earned him a reputation as hard to work with, so by this point, there were few who were daring enough to hire him on. He liked money, and he wasn't choosy about his employment.
          • When we meet him in the story, he's been hired by a mystery employer (actually the droid X-7, although Dualli thinks it's a Human), along with nine other top-tier pilots. They've been called to Iope, the third moon of Rinn, with vague promises of a huge payout if they do the mission they're given. Only, once there, X-7 starts firing on the pilots, apparently trying to weed out the less-than-worthy ones. Dualli is angered that his would-be employer has turned on him, so he fights back. Another pilot gets in his way, and His CloakShape gets hit with laser fire, and the hyperdrive monitor and drive generator go out. Swearing revenge on both his employer and the pilot of the Preybird that almost clipped him, Dualli opens communications with the former to gloat before destroying him. "Say good-bye, because this is your last moment to live." "Chsthiss, Slis Tieeer Dualli." Then two proton torpedos come from the surface of the moon and take out Dualli's shields. Lasers rain down on the CloakShape, and Dualli dies in the explosion. The end.
          • I can whip up a stub on Dualli. We also need to add him to the infobox and add the rest of this info. Yay for another Kobok in Star Wars canon! Boo for another stereotyped alien. ~ SavageBob 02:39, September 13, 2010 (UTC)
