Actually, the book repeatedly says "ethmane," like on p365 where Denning mentions Kr's "feathery jungle of ethmane crystals." And it displays characteristics that wouldn't make sense if it were methane. Methane ice is everydangwhere (even at the bottom of Earth's oceans!), so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if SW sensors couldn't penetrate it.

Of course, a lot of stuff in The Joiner King didn't make a lot of sense. Like since when does the Falcon have "nacelles" or "warp controllers?" But I'd better stop before I get rolling on a really good rant. -- Darth Culator 03:25, 5 Sep 2005 (UTC)
