Crimson Empire[]
- I think this information is incomplete. It is the same as the information on the SW website but there is more to say about those droids. They are seen once more in the Crimson Empire comic books. Maybe someone should read the Crimson Empire books and write more in the main article. I would but I am not good at this.
- Are you sure they're in Crimson Empire? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 19:25, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes there is a six-book addition to Crimson Empire called "Council of Blood". In one of them I remember a guy with escort of 4 to 8 droids. I think it was Togge but I cannot rember and cannot find the books now. Jaret Byar
- You mean Crimson Empire II, then. But still, wasn't that made before the L8-L9's first appearance? Or is Crimson Empire II the first appearance? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 19:36, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- The first time I saw this droid was in the Clone Wars mini series. I "found" the Crimson Empire II book after that. But I think the book was first to come out. Also I think the makers of Clone Wars toke the droid from Crimson Empire II.
- Well, let's see if anyone else has seen the L8-L9 in Crimson Empire II before adding it in. I have to be honest with you: I don't believe it was in Crimson Empire II. If you could upload a picture, it would be very helpful. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 19:44, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- Found them, though they don't look exactly like L8-L9s. They're used as Xandel Carivus's personal, hand-picked guards, though they are referred to and act like sentients, not droids - Kwenn 21:10, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

- Here's an image. But they're definately sentients - Kwenn 21:21, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- Turns out that I made a mistake. There is a group of guards whose armor greatly resambles the L8-L9 droid, but they are actualy human troopers. Here is a link to a picture of them: http://www.geocities.com/bornhald_bg/Untitled-4.jpg

- Please don't remove comments. And I can see why there was confusion. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 22:07, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Two L8-L9s?[]
Due to the fact that we had two different-colored L8-L9s, isn't it possible that there were two prototypes? I can't see L8-L9's makers putting their only prototype in an area with the chance that it could be destroyed. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 22:28, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
possibly. please note the talkheader policy at the top of this page. Ralphjedimaster 18:01, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
