Why does this page exist when the Leia Organa Solo page contains most of the canon information? ShatterClub|Talk to me, internet 19:38, February 23, 2015 (UTC)

  • Leia Organa Solo is primarily for Legends information. However, her Legends information requires Episodes III-VI to make sense, so her appearances in those films are included. Leia Organa is for canon-only information. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 19:44, February 23, 2015 (UTC)
    • Exactly. You can learn more about the reasoning for the split and why canon information also appears on Legends pages at the FAQ. Look under "Canon questions." ProfessorTofty (talk) 19:50, February 23, 2015 (UTC)
      • How's the info on here canon? Not all the stuff on the page is from the movies, some is from some comics, but then, did those comics appear after the Legends/ canon split?--Fekyu 08:47, May 8, 2015 (UTC)
        • Canon includes the films, The Clone Wars AND any new media released after April 25, 2014. The comics on this page all fit in that third category. 09:06, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

Info box imageEdit

Is there a promotional image from The Force Awakens that we can use for an updated info box image. I can try to find one if no one has added one yet. JediMaster1987 (talk) 02:28, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

  • I have a screenshot from the Disney XD Sneak Peek of The Force Awakens that I would like to upload to see what you think about it being an updated info box image, but it is not letting me upload it. JediMaster1987 (talk) 17:05, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

Disney princesses, Leia, and her new title of "General" Edit

Is Leia now "General Leia" because Disney is uncomfortable with the notion of having her "in the same room as Snow White and Cinderella"? (i.e., Disney Princesses) I suspect her status of "Princess" was inspired by Princess Aura of "Flash Gordon" fame, and she might have been thought of as an "Imperial" princess before she was revealed as Alderaanese and then a member of the Naboo royal family (?). Yes, she is an exceptional fighter, but it seems strange to go from Princess to General rather than Queen or Jedi. 03:08, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

Maybe this is Knowledge Bank material. 03:09, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

New infobox pic proposal Edit

Here's a picture that appears in the newest Star Wars Insider. What do you guys think of using it in the infobox? --LelalMekha (talk) 10:15, December 24, 2015 (UTC)

  • I support this Overlordjeff (talk) 10:22, December 24, 2015 (UTC)
    • Looks good to me. Cevan IMPpress (talk) 16:26, December 24, 2015 (UTC)
      • We don't have anything else so ok. I just love that's the hairdo Carrie called a "baboon's ass". --Alientraveller (talk) 17:05, December 24, 2015 (UTC)

"Leia Organa Solo" is back Edit

The paperback version of Aftermath notably contains a back-cover synopsis of Bloodline (which you can see here), and the name "Leia Organa Solo" is used. I think maybe a rename is in order. --LelalMekha (talk) 15:14, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

  • Well, she goes by just "Leia Organa" in TFA, no? Did they get divorced? Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 15:16, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
    • Divorced or separated, I'm not sure.--Nostalgia of Iran (talk) 15:20, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
      • In Michael Kogge's novelization of TFA, they're still referred to as husband and wife (e.g; "Once the droids were gone, husband and wife shared a moment together, alone."), so it doesn't seem they got divorced. But yes, that question is pertinent. --LelalMekha (talk) 15:23, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
        • Interesting. TFA would seem to take precedent since it is the most recent story, and she's just Leia Organa there, but I'd imagine once the book comes out we can get some clarity. No sense asking now, of course; technically it's a book spoiler so I (rightly) wouldn't expect an answer. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 15:31, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
          • We know that Leia and Han didn't get divorced but just separated from TFA novel & junior novel. Leia could simply be using "Organa" because she is separated from Han during that period. Nevertheless, I guess we will get the definitive answer when Bloodline is released. --AnilSerifoglu (talk) 16:19, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
            • Good grief, I hope it goes back to Organa Solo. The name feels a bit empty, considering the times, without it. BrulesMy Chit Chat Page 17:17, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

Leia's age in Rebels? Edit

This page mentioned that Leia was 16 during "A Princes on Lothal". This does not make sense, however, because she was born a few days after Ezra, and Ezra was 15 as of "Empire Day". Does this mean Ezra is 16 as well? Or is this page wrong? Unsigned comment by KnightoftheLight (talk • contribs).

Wedding after Jakku? Edit

Currently, the article uses Lost Stars as a source to state that Han and Leia got married after the Battle of Jakku. But what is the basis for that exactly? I can't seem to recall anything like that. --LelalMekha (talk) 19:19, May 12, 2016 (UTC)

New Republic Senate Edit

Was it ever mentioned anywhere in Bloodline what planet it was that Organa was representing in the Senate of the New Republic? I read the book from cover to cover but for the life of me I can't recall this ever being mentioned and if she on the Senate, presumably she was representing some planet, and there certainly wasn't an Alderaan anymore to represent. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:14, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

Sadly not, it only mentions that she represented Alderaan in the Imperial Senate. -- Dr. Porter Resistance starbird (Talk|Contribs) 21:40, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! I thought as much, but I just wanted to run it by just in case I had missed something. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:51, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

The quote is fine as it is, but for some reason I'm thinking that, with a character as major as this, maybe it should be something more familiar to readers, like from the movies. So I propose another; I don't really mind if it is shot down, but for the sake of trying-

"That boy is our last hope."
"No. There is another."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi, on Luke Skywalker, and Yoda referring to Leia Organa[src]

First off, I'm aware my suggested dialog tag is horrible and confusing and long ("Obi-Wan Kenobi, on Luke Skywalker, and Yoda referring to Leia Organa"), so feel free to propose another; however, I would like to see your guys' opinions on this one as opposed to the quote that's up currently. I chose it because: one, like I said, it's an iconic piece of dialog from the movies, and two because I feel it refers to Leia with really the same raw potential as Luke had. As such, it makes it that her importance is played in a way that's equal. AllHailTheFirstOrder (talk) 12:59, July 16, 2016 (UTC)

PhD Edit

Although is a cool statement from Lucas, there's no source that indicates it happened in both canon or legends, I found this tweet by Matt [1] that clearly indicates that its not something they considered and it was new to them, an old audio commentary its not a big source to considered especially since its more like a comparison than a real thing. I let others to consider it, but its not real in any continuity yet and using a Hollywood reporter as a "Canon/Legends source" is not accurate--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:00, August 6, 2017 (UTC)

Well, if that's the case, feel free to remove them, and I'll try to let my contact know about that decision. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 23:12, August 6, 2017 (UTC)

Infobox ImageEdit

Hello, I was just curious if anyone else would back the idea of changing the infobox image to this picture that is updated to Leia's most recent appearance in The Last Jedi.
--Benjay2345 (talk) 00:48, December 3, 2017 (UTC)
  • All for it.--ZapikCZ (talk) 01:13, December 3, 2017 (UTC)
    • I would support it, but the image is edited and this has been said before "Images should not be modified from the original source in any significant way. Removing an image from its background counts as this. Whether or not that image is reused multiple times on different backgrounds, the image should retain the background", maybe we can wait TLJ is around the corner and a new image will come out--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:32, December 3, 2017 (UTC)
    • Removing an images background that is present in other formats with no background does not count as there is a source of this image (such as a standee) where the background is not present. In actuality the image had no background to begin with (as is the case with most promotional photos used for standees and Fathead products) and was photoshopped on to the EW cover. Looking at it this way, the image itself has not been modified just the background which was not original to the image itself anyway. Images such as this have been allowed because of this many times on this wiki.--Benjay2345 (talk) 01:43, December 3, 2017 (UTC)
      • Final source includes a background, that's not the point. Rey image before was changed again was locked for that reason--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:49, December 3, 2017 (UTC)
        • It made no sense that the Rey image was locked either. The 'original source' per say of this image would be the picture itself minus the background. If Lucasfilm feels it necessary to reuse the same image without its background then the background is obviously not key to the image and thus it should be looked at as the image with no background is the 'original image.' I believe that the intent of the rule was to prevent images that have a background specific to them from being removed. In this case, though, the background is not specific to the image and it should be allowed as many others on this wiki are. The intent of the rule is what matters. --Benjay2345 (talk) 02:50, December 3, 2017 (UTC)
          • It wouldn't hurt to ask the admin who did that and ask about that again and much better if its that admin and another admin to see if the policy was misunderstood and see if its correct to change it before proceeding. Since TLJ is coming I imagine that this type of scenarios will repeat, so a clarification would be good before doing anything--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:56, December 3, 2017 (UTC)

Leia, Princess of AlderaanEdit

Hi there. Brand new here and all that nonsense. I had one major change which I think would require more than me to edit in this page: there is no part of Leia's biography that relates back to the novel "Leia, Princess of Alderaan" by Claudia Gray. It contains some pretty large moments that define Leia's character forever so we need to have them. I can edit in certain parts but I'd need more people helping with this. So much happens in the novel and it's vital to giving readers here at Wookieepedia the perfect knowledge about Leia's life.

Thanks :) Unsigned comment by KortoVos30 (talk • contribs).

  • I agree that it should be added, guess we just haven't got round to adding it to her page yet but feel free to add the information if you want, just remember to source your additions and write in the past tense. If you need any help feel free to ask --Lewisr (talk) 15:28, June 12, 2018 (UTC)
