Talk:Lekku

Back to page

So... if parts of the brain are located in the lekku, does it mean Twi'leks have holes in their skulls? Also it makes them extremely vulnerable to concussion of the brain. - Sikon [Talk] 18:07, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

  • No, It just means that they have more brains.
    • They actually do but from these holes are bone structures like cats tails.Lieutenant J.J 07:52, 21 October 2008 (UTC)Lieutenant J.J

Rubbish Togruta picture Edit

Surely there has to be a better picture to use to show Togruta lekku! -Kev-La Ttolya 16:21, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Are the Togruta head-tails called lekku? - Sikon (Vacation) 18:15, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Appearances Edit

I know for a fact that lekku have appeared in much more movies/books/comics than those listed. Red Head Rider 19:21, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I was about to say the same - but I figured it's the word lekku that is mentioned in these - so I'm adding kotor 2. Gustafar 19:19, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
    • Why does that matter? An appearance is an appearance. I think this list should be expanded with the other appearances from the Twi'lek article. What do you think? NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 00:58, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Add all Twi'lek AppearancesEdit

Leave it the SameEdit

CommentsEdit

Togruta Edit

Lekku is only the Twi'lek name. We can't assume the Togruta would use the same name unless they speak the exact same language. I believe Togruta would probably have their own name for their "head tails."--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem.svg 19:27, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Only one way to find out. Arrange for a slumber party with Aayla Secura and Shaak Ti. Enochf 20:23, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
  • In Star Wars:complete dictionary it calls Togruta lekkus horns and lekkus, and Twi'lek lekkus lekkus. They say Togruta "horns" [or lekkus]are hollow and sense ultra sonicwaves. This makes it easy for both to get brain concussion-Twi'leks have holes in the back. You gotta be careful!Addictedtostarwarsthatswhyimhere
  • Those 'horns' are called Montrals.66.103.114.152 23:52, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Quote Edit

If anyone cares, this article has the same quote as the Twi'lek article. Jedi Knight Zinquinthia25 06:46, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Weak Lekku Edit

It says in the article that a Twi'leks' lekku is weak and it hurts them when people grab them. However in the Dark Nest I: The Joiner King it says that Alema takes a blow from one of the Noghri on her Lekku and she's fine afterwards, so where's the source for them being weak? I'm going to change it unless somebody gives a source soon - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 11:58, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Sensitive Lekku in Togruta's Edit

Okay, so I know that the Togruta head tails are called lekku right? but it says in the article that if grabbed hard or something like that it hurts them. Is that the same for Togruta's too? thanks JediNTT307 19:39, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Sensitive Lekku, and Togrutas Edit

Togrutas
I think Togrutas should be mentioned in this article. The Togruta's page has a link to this page.

Sensitive Lekku
In Tales from Jabba's Palace, there is a story about the Twi-lek named Oola. In that story it talks about them being sensitive (pg. 82) and nerve-ladden (pg. 87). On page 91 it mentions if sand scratches them, they would hurt.

What source calls a Togruta's head tails "lekku"? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:26, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Lekku are said to contain parts of the brain, so, unless someone can find a source saying that Togrutas' head-tails contain parts of the brain, then i think that the Togruta head-tails should simply be called head-tailsStrobes13 02:55, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Lekku. You didn't read the article. Shame XD! I agree with I need a name.--RC 1138I hate bugs! 00:41, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Length Edit

Does the length of the lekku determine if the Twi'lek is a slave or vice-versa?--RC 1138I hate bugs! 03:10, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

  • It doesn't seem to. Varying lengths of lekku have appeared, without any correspondence to slavery. Tyhjihn 19:19, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Nautolans Edit

And what Nautolans? They haven't lekku? --Zipacna1 19:23, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Torgruta Anatomy question Edit

I have been studying the pictures of Shaak Ti and Ahsoka and am at a loss at to one thing. Where do the Montrals end and the Lekku begin?

Looking at the pics of Shaak Ti you would get the impression that the Montrals end at would would be the approximation of the upper border of the human ear.
Judging by Ahsoka it would appear to be at the human equivalant of the bottom of the earlobe.

Any feedback would be great!
