Spelling
Edit
This page needs to be moved to the correct spelling of Lott Dod. The Official Site - and many other sources - lists him as Lott Dod, not Dodd - Kwenn
- Done. His name is mispelled all over star wars wikipedia. All have been corrected. Azizlight 11:02, 21 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Good job, Az. --Imp 11:44, 21 Jul 2005 (UTC)
RotS
Edit
What's the source for Dod in RotS? Nute and Rune were there obviously, plus Neimoidian Gunners and an unnamed aide played by Colin Ware (as revealed in the Set Diaries). I don't think there's been any confirmation that this is Dod, or that Dod was present - Kwenn
- Dod wasn't there. Admiral J. Nebulax 22:34, 25 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah he was. Remember the visual dictionary? He was the yellow-cloaked Nemoidian they stupidly mislabeled as Nute Gunray —Unsigned comment by 67.163.29.119 (talk • contribs).
- That character's name is now known to be Rute Gunnay, according to Dressing a Galaxy. - Kooshmeister
- Interesting. Theforce.net said he was Dod though... —Unsigned comment by 67.163.29.119 (talk • contribs).

Senate term's end
Edit
Admiral Nebulax mentioned that the speeder accident may have caused his resignation. Wasn't that also in 22 BBY? -- SFH 01:07, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I believe it was either 21 BBY or 22 BBY. But I'm not sure if it did cause his resignation. Admiral J. Nebulax 01:09, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I belive he resined because since the growing tenstion between the republic and the federation was then turned into war when they joined the CIS—User:troyb
- Unfortunately, that's only speculation. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

What's in a name?
Edit
I think the Behind the Scenes part of this article should mention that Lott Dod's name is oa play on US Senators Trent Lott and Chris Dodd. I find this interesting, as Lucas' public comments typically lean strongly left, yet his work reveals an undercurrent of cynicism in government that implicates both political extremes. Likely that was the message in this name, as it was throughout the Phantom Menace (and indeed the whole prequel trilogy): entrenched special interests care less for ideology than for their personal gain.
Sadly, I cannot provide a source for this (other than "duh"). If the powers that be think it is still acceptable, please go ahead and add it in, if for nothing else than completeness' sake.

- Providing this kind of information in an article implies that it's a proven connection, which it is not, contrary to what people perceive as "common sense." CC7567 (talk) 19:25, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
Attack of the Clones
Edit
In Attack of the Clones, during the Battle of Geonosis, he is the Nemoidian standing next to Nute Gunray. Star Wars Insider confirms this. EVANTHETOON 14:27, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
Homeworld
Edit
Here it states his homeworld is Neimoidia yet the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia states his homeworld is Cato Neimoidia. Which is right? --Vitas 08:56, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
- We don't know for sure which is right, but as it's clearly pointed out in the article, the article assumes that the Databank is correct. CC7567 (talk) 20:30, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
Height
Edit
I'm curious if it's worth noting that Dodd is a good deal shorter in TCW than in previous sources.--Darth Oblivion 21:24, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
