Talk:M4-78
Back to page
I copied a lot of content from the Wikipedia article today. It should be verified, but it looks pretty legitimate.-LtNOWIS 08:02, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Yipes, there looks to be a lot of fanon (or cut content, at least, that shouldn't be going in the canon part of the article) on this page. Will take a better look in a bit. Tam 08:08, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)

M4-78 planet and M4-78 droid
Edit
I know that it is cut content, but I shall ask out of simple curiosity. There appears to be both an M4-78 planet and an M4-78 droid. So was the M4-78 planet named after the droid? And it's confusing which M4-78 the article is talking about through most of the cut content. Can someone revise this so that it makes it clear which M4-78 it refers to each time it is mentioned? - From what IS-24's dialog states: "M4-78 is the name of the droid intelligence that governs the planet." He also states: "This is the colony M4-78." From that, it appears that the planet was named M4-78 by the original organic colonists, who named the planet after its orginal droid controller, M4-78. --PastramiX 14:57, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Goto's yacht
Edit
I understand the planet became canon with MedStar: Intermezzo, but isn't it likely, what with the planet getting cut and most of its original content used for the droid yacht, that the only reference to M4-78 in The Sith Lords actually refers to the Goto's yacht? It may be they used the designation for the yacht once they abandoned the planet. Come to think of it, the datapad in question held the codes for the central control computer which is on Goto's yacht.- "This code will allow unrestricted access to the droid control system through the M4-78 Central Computer."
- ―The datapad mentioning M4-78
I agree, it looks to me as though it was an oversight when they decided to scrap the planet. --Alexms96 02:06, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
Bao-Dur did NOT die on M4-78
Edit
I know that rumor has been going around, but it's an urban myth. There are specific unused voice-files for Lt. Grenn and Atton respectively mentioning that Bao-Dur and HK-47 are not with the exile, even though they exited the Ebon Hawk on Citadel Station. That is at Telos just before the exile goes to confront Nihilus and after confronting Atris, at which point in the plot going to M4-78 was no longer to be an option, because the endgame had begun. Besides, Chris Avellone has said on his own blog at Obsidian's forum that Bao-Dur was to die on Telos. I'm going to remove that since this is already stated correctly and sourced in the description of Bao-Dur Jediphile 23:32, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
In the trailer.
Edit
So, has anyone noticed that the landing pad for M4-78 is actually in the trailer for this game? I know this is a a late discovery but, still, kinda funny. It's right after the PC is walking towards the camera in the Mandalorian camp, as the voice says, "...who has yet to choose his role in the galaxy." --Alexms96 02:07, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
