We already have some separate articles for Sith magic, etc., but the term comes up often enough that I thought it might be useful to have a catchall article at the generic magic. I conceived it mostly as sort of a portal/disambig, and the bulk of the content would stay in the Force article and the individual articles. No sense reduplicating the wheel.
