[edit] Fan art
This image is not only fan art that leaves out a lot of minor details in the official picture, but the official picture it is based on is of questionable validity, as explained in the "Behind the Scenes" section of this article. JimRaynor55 17:35, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Isn't this same image used for another, different vehicle?

- Erl has been adding fan CGI images with reckless abandon. --SparqMan 17:50, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] 6.1 Added category
Ship Designation and Classification of Ship are two different things! In the Star Wars universe every ship is called a cruiser but it doesn’t mean it in the literal sense.
So when a cruiser from the Clone War era has lesser fire power than a frigate from the A New Hope era then the ship has to be re classified. This is the standard task force fleet classification in order of fire power from the greatest to the lowest; size is a separate issue as many assault ships are essentially large transports.
• Battleship • Destroyer • Heavy cruiser = Battler cruiser • Medium cruiser = war cruiser • Light cruiser = attack cruiser • Frigate • Escort carriers / converted ships in to carrier = frigate armour / fire power • Corvette
Appreciate any editorial notes added to this as the Star Wars ship classification is in a mess with all those old transport ships that the Rebel Alliance had conve| Production information | |

[edit] Starfighter Complement
Perhaps it should be noted somewhere that the Majestic-class does carry a starfighter complement. Novel references suggest that it can carry up to five squadrons, as five squadrons were present at the Battle of ILC-905, but given that the Defender-class carrier can only carry three squadrons, the Majestic probably carries far less.
All but one squadron of fighters at the aformentioned battle were hyperdrive-capable (one squadron of K-wing bombers being the exception). Furthermore, I doubt that the fighters were carried by any other vessel present at the battle, since the only New Republic capital ships participating were the Majestic-class cruiser Indomitable, a Warrior-class gunship, and an Ajave-class picket. As such, I wonder whether the Majestic can carry only one squadron of fighters, which -- at the Battle of ILC-905 -- was that lone K-wing squadron. mt_shinsengumi 15:49, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
