Edit
The KOTOR campaign guide states that the Neo's weren't FOUNDED by the Mandalore, in fact he didn't even like their style until he saw that they were encouraging order and helping him rule. They were more formalized as an order than just a 'group'. Soo I adjusted those.

| | This is a page is a stub about the mandalorians. It is the mandalorian supporters primary objecive to make it longer. |
- I have made a longer history, but I just want to show it here before I submit it. It will need several article links added and most likely more info will be needed, but this is what I've got so far.
The Neo-Crusaders were a group of Mandalorians formed by Mandalore the Ultimate following the end of the Great Sith War and his own ascension to the position of Mandalore. Named after the old Crusaders, they fought the Mandalorian Wars against the Republic. After 5 years of conflict, the Neo-Crusaders were finally defeated by Revan’s forces at Malachor V, when the Jedi Exile gave the order to activate the Mass Shadow Generator, which almost wiped out the entire Mandalorian fleet. Mandalore was killed in that final battle.Revan removed them of their weapons, basilisk war droids, and ultimately, their honour.
The Neo-Crusaders entered dark times, when they were no longer great warriors, but thugs-for hire. Revan encountered some of these thugs during his quest to find the Star Forge, such as raiders on Dantooine and hunters on Kashyyyk. After the end of the Jedi Civil War, before leaving into the Unknown Regions to find the True Sith, Revan tasked Canderous Ordo, one of the former Neo-Crusaders who accompanied him on his journey, with reuniting the scattered Mandalorian clans on Dxun. Canderous recovered Mandalore the Ultimate’s helmet, which had been lost since the Battle of Malachor V, and declared himself the new Mandalore. He began to reunite the clans under the Ordo banner on the moon of Dxun, where the Mandalorian Wars began.
5 years after the Jedi Civil War, the Jedi Exile was forced to land on Dxun by Colonel Tobin’s space forces when searching for Jedi Master Kavar on Onderon. She was found by a Mandalorian sentry and taken to the Mandalorian base. Mandalore agreed to give her safe passage to Onderon if she proved herself worthy. After completing various tasks, such as stopping Tobin’s scouts from uncovering the base and rescuing the lost warrior Kumus, Mandalore agreed to help her. Shortly before they could leave, however, Sith assassins attacked the base. The Exile helped defend the base from the invaders before leaving.
After their business on Onderon was done, Mandalore stated that he would acompany the Exile on her journey for two reasons; the Sith would eventually dominate the Mandalorians if they were allowed to defeat the Jedi once and for all, and he had been meaning to leave to search for more clans. He found such clans on Nar Shaddaa and Dantooine. When the Battle of Telos IV began, the Mandalorians helped battle against the Sith, particularly aiding in the destruction of the Ravager, Darth Nihilus’ personal vessel. Their fate after that battle is unknown. Sith Alchemy 101 14:37, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone care to elbaorate on the Galactic Civil War use of the armor by the Empire? Its in Star Wars galaxies as a reward for fighting in the battle of restuss. 71.33.34.140 01:19, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
It's not identical, it's a fusion of the Imperial Guard and the Neo-Crusader and the rebel is of Canderous' version mixed with the modern (Boba type) Mandalorian armour. It's not an appearance even if it's similar, and no statement has been made on the canon-status of that type I believe. Since this wiki is for canonical information and not speculation, I don't think anyone would escape edits if making such speculation - it's a type of fanon in reality. This article is out of date. Safe to rewrite?
Edit
- I'm just thinking, as this article keeps getting aligned with others while not being updated, if it's safe for me to rewrite it or if someone is already doing that.SarimThiri 04:44, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Move to Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders?
Edit
All other Mandalorian organizations are used in plural, so shouldn't this one? I'm going to go ahead and change it, but if an admin objects, feel free to change it back.Ruthless Xero 05:55, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
- Good idea. It makes sense for an organization to be plural when it's named for the members. If you known what I mean.--End0 da Baker 23:49, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Planet Mandalore
Edit
The Mandalore link leads to the leader, not the planet. Admiral Paul 10:32, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Fixed. -- I need a name (Complain here) 12:37, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
The armour issue
Edit
The Neo-Crusaders always had uniformal armours, it's in the CG. Removing the claim, since its the Crusaders that appeared in the personalised suits in issues 6-10 and 22-24. Gratulor - User Page 16:59, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
species
Edit
Were they mostly Taungs like the Crusaders? --Mand'alor te Siit 21:28, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
- The comics reveal that the Mandalorian conquers worlds, then absorbs some of the population in their ranks. Anyone could becoma a Mandalorian, look in issue #23, and you will find various species that are Mandalorians, even a Wookiee.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 22:09, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
- They were of any species of any world conquered by the Mandalorians in the outer rim terretories. They had Snivvian armour at the ready (Vector part 2 confirms this), Wookiees (as Kasra mentioned), and many other species like the Drovians and Zabraks. But they were mostly Human, and I'm pretty sure the Taungs were in shortage during their main advance. Look to the Kotor comics and the Kotor campaign guide for more information. New Opening Quote?
Edit
Does anybody have a different main quote we could use for the top of the page? I love Gryph with a passion and it makes for awesome snarky dialogue, but I feel like for a faction, the main quote should have something to do with their beliefs, maybe what their goal is, or even a fancy "why we're the ish!" kind of quote. Anybody have something a little better than what's there now? --Bella'Mia 11:30, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
I nominate Mandalore's quote from Issue 20 of the comic series Cassus First Suggested that the similar uniforms, like the legend of Rohlan, could help control a force that has grown beyond control Darth Ringo 03:13, May 21, 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with Ringo. Gratulor - User Page 04:06, May 21, 2010 (UTC)
When was it used?
Edit
I understand that it was used during the mandalorian wars, but was that the only armour the mandalorians wore during that time? Also, how come they wear different armour in KOTOR 2, but then they use Neo-Crusader armour in The Great War (The Old Republic Game) again? --He brings the pain 18:24, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Neo-Crusaders were an ideology, not armour or weapons. What armour are you taking about anyway? In issue 7 of the comics, they are a mix of Neo-Crusaders and Crusaders, while in Kotor 2 they are mostly former Neo-Crusaders. Gratulor - User Page 18:41, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
The Armour I was talking about is the one featured in KOTOR 1. The KOTOR 2 looks slightly different and coloured silver --He brings the pain 21:05, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
- That was Canderous Ordo's armour, which isn't really a Neo-Crusader one. It was a Mandalorian battle armour originally owned by a Taung warrior, and the helmet had the Mandalore's mask build into it. Canderous was Mandalore, and he used that armour as a status-symbol. The regular soldiers still use the red/gold/blue armours in Kotor 2. Gratulor - User Page 04:03, May 21, 2010 (UTC)
