Same as condor dragon?
Edit
What source says that the mantigrue and condor dragon are the same creature? The Star Wars Encyclopedia gives them separate entries. — SavageBob 00:43, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Is there a source for the two being the same, or is this an assumption? I doubt they are the same. There are obvious differences, perhaps the most notable being the number of limbs.--Darth OblivionComlink

- Source please? I've seen four of the five listed, and none say that they are the same creature. So can someone give me the source?--Darth OblivionComlink

- I don't think they are the same. The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide says nothing about them being called a Mantigrue. I think Morag's pet could very well be a Mantigrue, but clearly it looks different from any Condor dragon depicted anywhere. - JMAS 18:36, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Since there is no source that verifies the Mantigrue and Condor dragon are the same creature, and in appearance they are clearly different creatures, I am separating them into separate articles. - JMAS 20:10, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Can the devil beast be either a mantigrue or a condor dragon? Or is it a 3rd similar species? Bodo-Baas 02:12, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
The art book From Pencil to Pixel: The Art of Star Wars Galaxies shows the image of a mantigrue and calls it condor dragon. That seems to prove that the two were intended to be the same species, but the developers must have changed the name sometime during the development. --Craven 22:56, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
OK, now I found this text on one of the loading screens in Star Wars Galaxies: "The condor dragon, or mantigrue, is a large flighted lizard on the Forest Moon of Endor. They are often aggressive and can be quite dangerous." Seems like Mantigrue is just another name for condor dragons. --Craven 21:32, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
i say the two articles articles should be merged Ralok 05:09, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
OK, according to this description of a SWG quest, Jorak explicitly says that Mantigrues are also called Condor dragons. Together with the facts that Joe Johnston was both the production designer of Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (first appearance of Condor dragons) and wrote and illustrated the book The Adventures of Teebo: A Tale of Magic and Suspense (first appearance of Mantigrues), that Galaxies' mantigrues obviously look like the film Condor dragon, and that things in cartoons often look a bit different than the same things in movies and games, it should be enough evidence to merge the two articles. --Craven 19:12, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
Wooly hides?
Edit
I removed a sentence that claimed they were "covered in wooly hides". They look scaly to me. — SavageBob 18:56, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
