Not funny is right. I love many of these star wars books but this one was horrible. I was expecting shatterpoint like descriptions of the healing techniques of the Jedi, something that would reveal a little more about the force and these elusive jedi healers. Instead we have protagonists that talk about the bota being "literally all things to all people," we have lousy jokes, in one case a penis joke, and implications that Barriss Offee, upon injecting herself with the miracle drug, could directly control everything that happened on a planet with her mind like some sort of God. Not since dark empire has an author taken such liberties. The claims made in this duology show a profound misunderstanding of the nature of the force, as it is portrayed by authours like James Luceno and Matthew Stover in their excellent novels.
